XFL is coming back

Digging the gargoyle with bloody teeth on the Guardians. Loved the old XFL team name “NJ Hitmen“ for the inside joke (heck the owner of my local diner hired a hitman to kill his co owner), but this name and logo work well too.

Always excited for new leagues but the simple truth is that no one seems to have a sustainable model. The AAF seemed like it had a good model. Tickets are way too high for the level of football that will be on display.
Not sure they have done anything different that makes the league any more viable.

Hope they succeed as always because football is the best sport

The AAF did NOT have a good business model. People thought having little Ebersol and Polian in charge would be enough. They had a good plan but Ebersole drastically underestimated how much the league would cost and also took money from the wrong people before Dunden got involved (and realized Ebersole and Polian did not know what they were doing). Hell as the league started they went to Vince McMahon and asked to merge the two leagues to save he AAF

The model was fine just the investors were not. The xfl has no more of a better plan unfortunately but maybe will make it. I just don't see the value prop in paying for that level of talent.

Seriously? I hadn't heard about that.

Instead of being in a tiered blocking formation, the return team is all lined up on their 30-yard line, with the kicking team set up parallel to them just five yards away, instead of starting alongside the kicker. A clip from a joint practice between the Seattle Dragons and Dallas Renegades shows the kick itself happening on the kicking team's 25-yard line, and neither side is allowed to move until the returner has possession of the ball.
