I totally agree that the Daunte trade sent things off course.

Right on the mark. Couldn't agree more. Except that grade is a bit too high. We're stuck with a vacuum at head coach, a QB who was once a Pro Bowler but hasn't strung out a good season since 2004, a QB who has potential but nagging turnover issues, a raw QB that no one wanted, an aging DL, WR's who can't catch, a Swiss cheese secondary, and a so-so OL.
 
He did everything to rip this team apart. Don't pick on Culpepper yet, we have yet to see what he can do when healthy. I think it all started when he got rid of Surtain. Bringing Carter in when we were already old on the D-line instead of getting younger..

It wasn't the trade for Culpepper that sent things spiraling downwards, it was the hiring of Mularkey as offensive coordinator that sent things spiraling downwards.
