Yahoo sports: Preseason rankings: AFC

Cinncy will be a mediocre 8-8 again. They may even fall to 7-9. I dont know how anyone would give them a shot at being the 5th best team in the league, but that's Yahoo for you. That's why i keep it real with the intelligent life forms here at Fin Heaven :baghead:

Your team is not as good as many think they are, personally I think your team is ranked a bit too high, especially considering that if Pennington can't play a whole season (BIG POSSIBILITY), your team is pretty mediocre. If Chad goes down, your team will without doubt be hanging at the bottom.

Your team has a good amount of talent, but have too many ??????? to be ranked that high, so be happy with what he gave you.:D

What question marks do we have? We have as few as any team in the league, the main one is can Chad stay healthy. If so we are a SB caliber team.

The Jets secondary is a big question mark, the status of Chad Pennington and whether or not his shoulder is ok is also very big. Will John Abraham get his act together? That's a question mark. How will the teams offense be under Heimerdinger, that's a question mark. Is this the year Curtis Martin's age starts to slow him down, that's a question mark. Are the other age issues on the Jets becoming a problem, that's a question mark. Will Mike Nugent be an effective kicker, that's a question mark. Do the Jets finally have a capable TE, that's a question mark.....There are more but i think youe getting the point.

boy, he really takes a lot of chances there...not.

what did he do, list them in draft order then move one or two a spot up/down?!?

pretty much, i think the bengles are overrated there and so are the bills and the broncos....we should be ranked about 11th or 12th, its not the greatest rankings, id rate it about a 5 or 6

We are solid in 3 of the 4 spots in the secondary and have alot to choose from at LCB including being the leader for Ty Law. Chad's shoulder is definitely a question amrk but we came w/in a FG of makin g the AFC Title game and Chad had a torn rotator cuff for half the year. We do have questions as every team has but we don't have as many as most.

Cincy yes Texans no... What have the Texans done to improve as a team. Still no running game, awful WR's, Carr=Sack, Defense is decent..
i think a lot of people under estimate D. Carr.
D. Davis isnt great, but not to bad. 1188 yards in 15 games.
A. Johnson is a little better than "awful". 1142yards last season.

im not saying they will be SB bound, or even a playoff team. but ill predict 9-7. (though i would NOT go any higher for them untill they get a Defense).

David Carr and Dominick Davis are both very good football players, i think both of them will have real breakout years this year. Davis will get a lot of yards catching and rushing, and Carr will pass well without the turnovers. The Texans need the o-line to play better, and then i think they'll be a playoff team. They have a pretty good defense, and the WR's aren't awful Gaffney, Bradford and Johnson are quite good. I agree with the article on them.

Dude...what are you smokin? Awful WRs? Andre Johnson is one of the most talented WRs I've seen, ever. You're just pullin this stuff out of your arse! Do your homework before you make such comments.

if you take the "Bengals" out of their name, you might see that Cincy has a good team. they will surprise a lot of people. same with the Texans.
Exactly what I was going to say!
The Texans will make a playoff push this year, maybe missing out on the wildcard because how tough the AFC is. With their running game finally taking off and the offensive line starting to gel, Houston and it's young defense will definitely surprise some people this year.
