"It may take a while to figure out the platooning of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, but the receiving trio of Marty Booker, Chris Chambers and tight end Randy McMichael will give Gus Frerotte or Feeley plenty of options. So long as coach Nick Saban can settle on a starting quarterback and then keep him upright, that is if Saban can settle on a starting QB".

"Linebacker Junior Seau is on the downside of his career, and cornerback Will Poole, who was expected to start opposite Madison, suffered a knee injury in the offseason. Poole's slot will now likely fall to Reggie Howard or Mario Edwards"

"Kicker Olindo Mare and punter Matt Turk are average, and the coverage units need to add speed. Returner Wesley Welker is a serviceable player, but Saban may turn to cornerback Travis Daniels to spark the return game. Like every other unit, this one is still being sorted out, and it will likely see massive personnel turnover the next two seasons as Saban retools every aspect of the team"
PREDICTION Miami goes 5-11, last place

I just wanted to highlight those 3 blurbs.
1. Doesn't mention Boston or Thompson
2. Junior Seau isn't supposed to the same Star he once was, and I thought Travis Daniels was the starter opposite Sam Madison
3. Mare is average? Welker is only serviceable? Daniels in the return game?
Sounds like this guy did his homework :shakeno:

1. Yes he is.
2. Yes he is.
3. Not sure about Daniels.

That has to be the most ignorant piece of crap review I have read so far:yell:

Welker is excellent at return and Special Teams and is looking to gain ground as a reciever.

Thompson has potential and Boston was not even mentioned. No metion of the new coaches or staff or the defensive schemes. WE NO LONGER NEED THE 2 BEST SHUT DOWN CORNERS!! People have to get over that we have a system if you have footbal talent and understand the system you should be able to play the position.
Daniels looks excellent thus far....:fire:

Well, I agree with the statement about Turk and Mare. Mare has shown us nothing but average play over the past couple of years. I disagree about our special teams units. Our coverage teams are escellent and last year, our return game was better than it has been in a looong time. Wes Welker is a big reason for it, he isn't the fastest, but he makes guys miss, which is important. I disagree about him calling Welker servicable. Welker has showed that he can return kickoffs, punts, kick field golas and this camp, catch the ball. We is a jack of all trades that should get a little more respect than what this article gives him.

Mare and Turk are nothing more than average....especially Mare going by what he has done the last couple of years. Welker is a bit more than serviceable IMO....not great but definitely better than average.

article sounds like it's old. like it was written a month or two ago.

:yeahthat: The guy who wrote that Peice is probably a bills fan and doesnt know what the hell he is talking about!
Boston is gonna tear s*** up ! and Welker is going to the PRO BOWL !

But it isnt like reporters or writers would use relative info on the Dolphins anyway. Remember, they hate us now. Great

As usual it sounds like yahoo news is churning out a bunch of garbage with information that is a couple of months old. I used to actually go there and read their stuff, but it got my hopes up too many times.

Wow, that's one of the sloppiest team reports I've seen. David Boston not mentioned, Reggie Howard or Mario Edwards LIKELY to start opposite Madison, he said the phrase "if Saban can settle on a starting QB" twice in the same sentence, called Welker only "servicible"?, and then says that Travis Daniels may be used to spark the return game, when he hasn't been used in that capacity whatsoever nor has anyone made mention of him being used in that role.

This is so bad, I almost feel like I HAVE to email him, to embarrass him, because he should be very embarrassed to have put out that piece of substandard fecal matter.

I just wrote the following to Mr. Robinson...

Charles,

I read your July 29th review of the Miami Dolphins. I am a little bit puzzled. It seems almost like this came from a different writer. I've read your stuff before and never had a problem with it, in fact I believe I've praised you once or twice. And, it's not that I am upset you predicted 5-11 for the Dolphins. Myself, I think 6-10 is more likely, looking to catch a few breaks to become an 8-8 team but teetering on the edge of catching some more bad luck and being another 4-12 team.

But the review you wrote of the dolphins was one of the most substandard flaming chunks of fecal matter this side of the Pecos River.

I've read more accurate statements in the vomit of a child who is fond of alphabits. You made no mention of David Boston on the offensive side of the ball, which is a bit dodgy if you ask me. You said that Will Poole was likely to start, but I doubt anyone could ever say he was "likely" to do anything in Nick Saban's system. Then, you say that Mario Edwards or Reggie Howard are "likely" to start opposite Sam Madison. By the time you wrote this, Travis Daniels had been working with the starters at corner for over a month. You finished up by calling Wesley Welker average, even though he was 2nd in the league in kick return yardage and punt return yardage, putting him second in the league behind only Dante Hall for total return yardage (in only 14 games for Welker, 16 games for Hall). The guy actually took over KICKING duties for Mare and did pretty good at that as well. And if you're caught up in averages, I should think being fifth in the league in punt return average and fourteenth in the league in kick return average would be better than "serviceable".

I think my favorite part was how Travis Daniels "may" be used to "spark" the return game over this "serviceable" Wesley Welker (did I mention he won the team's newcomer of the year award?), when Daniels has not fielded one punt or kick in Dolphins mini-camp or training camp, to date. Do you know how many kicks he returned in college? None. Do you know how many punts? Two.

Seriously man, when you put something out there, you're putting it out there. Everything you put out there is something you stake your reputation on. And, if you ask me, you just staked your reputation on a large moldy absess that smells of sickening sweet cheese.

I look forward to seeing much better work from you in the future.

Thanks,

Chris Kouffman

 Great response to this yutz. Should've also mentioned his lack of knowledge on these so called predictions. He probably just looked at last year's final standings and decided this year would be the same.

Guess he's never heard the term "improvement".

That guy is an idiot. 5-11, are u kidding me?? We're definitely going to win at least 1 more game than we had last year. But its articles like this that just will add to our teams motivation. Worst mistake in any form of sport is to underestimate your opponent.
