I HATE this time of year. There is nothing going on. We've got fans trying to come up with "interesting" topics like "pick the play we should run on 3rd and 8 from the 43 yardline". We have others redesigning our team's logo for the 1,264 time.* *NOTE Some of you graphic designers have talent, don't get me wrong, but man it's like watching someone trying to pick a font. It's the same word, just with different sqiggly lines and dashes.

All the newspapers haven't updated in days, and when they do, it's a 4 sentence blog asking us who we'd want to see make the team as the 6th Wr, or name the most horrific Dolphin death.

I cannot take it. :azmang:Someone push the FF button and get me to August 1.:wacky:

Cryopreservation worked for Walt...

The longest 6 weeks in sports!

Yet for a lot of the players it is a critical 6 weeks. What the rooks do between now and the start of TC can determine if they make the team or find another career. Players that are a bit chunkified (Solai?) might undergo a little de-chunkification if they are wise. Something tells me Penne and Henne (and White?) will not be sitting around playing cards all day long. If I were a rookie receiver I would get my contract situation settled and see if a Chad (or Pat) wants to come out and play. I had heard the rooks were staying in town working out and learning and bonding. It may be long for us (and may seem long for the players waiting for TC to start) but it is in important time for the Phins. We just don't get to see the action like we do at OTAs or TC. If there was a Phins Cam where we could watch the facility and see who was coming in and out and what they were doing, that would help these days pass by.

This time of year is boring, but at least there is baseball season. By far the worst time of year for sports is February-March. It's boring, it's cold, it's depressing, it gets dark so early, the landscape on long island is dead and desolate; it just totally blows. The most exciting thing on TV is regular season basketball and hockey... ugh.

They have started replaying some college games. Was watching Auburn from a few years back with Ronnie and Cadillac. Funny too hear alot of well known names then and realize they never made it in the pro's.

The other thing that chaps my perverbial hide is the only NFL news is Indecision 2009, the Brett Favre Story and all the prima donna WRs talking already.

I'm off work for a few weeks so I've been walking the dog down to Argo's (CFL) practice,I know,I know, but it gives me my fix.On a side note Will Poole is lookin' pretty damn good!

I'm willing to start a we need ocho cinco thread, that ought to cheer you up.

Baseball is eh.

At this time of year, no news usually means good news. With the exception of draft pick signings, I would be very happy if there is no news involving the Dolphins between now and the start of training camp. This is the time of year when players are given time off and bad things can happen. We can all remember McMichael's annual summer arrest for beating his wife, or what about Chambers July DUI? I do think the odds are much slimmer with the type of players we have and with Sparano and Parcells in charge, but you never know what can happen. Look, Starks got in trouble in May, so this team is not immune.

Like I said, at this time of year, no news is good news.
