WE were all down in the dumps. After a 4-12 season ( in 2004) and it seemed like nothing was gonna go right. But in the midseason we got a spark plug from Yerimiah Bell and Ricky Williams, in 05.. I think this team is just looking for an identity. We dont have a franchise QB ( dont tell me beck, if we drafted a 14 y/o, people would find a way to label him as a franchise qb) Last season this board was so full of optimism, we all felt (including myself) Culpepper was the man. He was gonna give us that extra boost to make a 9-7 team a legit playoff contender. Now we dont have that "boost" of a new player. But i think that the team needs to find a guy already on the roster, that is gonna wanna step up on offense.

We dont need a boost on defense, we have sometimes a little too much boost that tires them out by tehe end of the game. If somebody on offense could put in half the effort of Zach Thomas or Jason Taylor, this team would have a chance to at least compete on offense.

You can see the talent on this team, but its just amazing how inedpt they are when on offense. They can have a 75 yard drive, but once inside the 10, nobody wanted to take the reins and take charge.

Chris Chambers needs to figure out, what the hell he did in the second half in 2005. Because we have seen great catches, and some nice plays but nothing like we saw in 05. He looked like a different reciever. A guy who utilized his speed, size and hands, rather than a guy just sitting in the background waiting for someone else to do the work

Beck has every bit the potential to be a franchise QB. For every Peyton Manning there's a Tom Brady. In other words, just because Beck wasn't chosen in the first round, doesn't mean he can't be good/great/or amazing.

The "boost" we need is this. Mularkey not calling the offensive plays. That & Cam finding a way to get L.Booker & Ginn involved. They'll spread the field opening things up.

We have all (ok,ok mostly all)the tools on this offense in place, granted they'll need to gel.

BTW-----Brady Quinn is Rick Mirer. :mirror:

Trent Green threw two touchdowns in a row on redzone drills today. One teammate yelled that Green was getting them into the green.

GO PHINS~!

Oh, ye of little faith...

I know this all seems like a circus right now, but it will calm down quickly. By the time training camp begins, a lot of these questions will go away, and these guys will get to work.
