FINALLY, Taylor is signed.
I cannot believe that this regime took this much time considering this. They ALMOST let him slip away. What was the issue? We were one Joey Porter injury away from falling apart as a defense. And a $1.5 million, one year deal for a player like Taylor? That is the steal of the century! Bear in mind: Taylor's injury issues w/ Washington the first half of last season hampered his play, but he came on strong at the end of the season, proving he's still got PLENTY left in the tank. I was actually hoping for a 2 year deal. And remember: He TURNED DOWN a fat, $8 million plus contract w/ Washington because he wanted to come back to Miami. This is a stand up guy, a leader, and an asset to this team. We needed this BADLY. Is everyone now through smearing his name? Mark my words: 8-10 sacks this season is NOT a stretch by any means for Jason. And don't be surprised if he comes into camp and wins the starting job; though with this regime that may be a long shot. I feel a WHOLE lot better about our chances now. Minimal pass rush in a 3-4 defense equals lots of big plays for the oppossing offense. Jason will change that...Thoughts??
