Dolphins | Bell Injured - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 15 Sep 2004 18:21:35 -0700

Miami Dolphins S Yeremiah Bell (undisclosed) was helped off the field Wednesday, Sept. 15, after a violent collision with one of the team's receivers during special teams practice. The extent of his injury won't be released until Thursday, Sept. 16.
Please God, stop all these injuries.

We will see Wednesday what the status is. If he's out for the game it just leaves us that much shorter at safety. The only good news is that Freeman can be ok at playing both spots in backup duty.

damn, I bet the FO is kicking themselves right now by letting Jenkins go. ST's keeps taking hits.

I heard it on the Blitz Report. Goddamnit! :shakeno:

I truely believe Bell is going to be a starter for this team in a couple of years. Knight might not be back next year and Freeman who probably dart so Bell will be moving up the depth chart. I have heard nothing but good things about this guy and he is supposed to be very very fast.

??

anyone have any updates as to how serious or not serious bell's collision was?

Rick Spielman stated that Bell was the fastest timed Dolphin over the first 10 yards. He also said that Chris Chambers called Bell the quickest closer of any DB he has faced period.

He shows a real burst to the ball and I think in time he will also show he is a bigtime hitter. I feel he could start as early as next year. Hopefully the injury is not severe or to the knee area.... Yeremiah could be a very good Dolphin starter fairly soon .

He's gonna be our starter next year, Knight is outta there.

Honestly, Sammy Knight has done NOTHING for me. Hasn't done anything bad, but he's just "mehhh", nothing special, definitely not the type of impact plays we were expecting to get from signing him.

sorry but after all the praise he got before TC , this is really the first time i hear him mentioned, sad that it has to be because he is injured, but i was kind of dissapointed that he wasn´t never named to be in the mix for the starting position, so he must not have developed as the coaches would have liked, IMO , but anyways i hope its nothing serious maybe he just got the wind knocked out of him

to be fair, he wasnt given the same kind of chance tht Edwards/Freeman were given to start.

Bell is kind of like Ogunleye. You hear the name here and there during the year and each year he gets mentioned more and more and before you know it, he is in the Pro Bowl. Then you got to worry if Drew signs on as his agent.

What is the story on the injury? I can't find that anywhere in this thread or on any of the South Florida newspaper sites.

Seems to be fine according to this...
