“If they don’t believe we can win now, then you shouldn’t be in this locker room: period, point blank,” Dolphins safety and co-captain Yeremiah Bell said. “We’ve got good talent on this team. We’ve got what it takes to win games on this team. Our problem is we’re hurting ourselves. We’re making inopportune mistakes. We get ourselves back in the game and we’re just doing dumb things. That’s on us as players.”What has to change?“Our focus level has to go up and basically everybody has to play to a different level,” Bell said. “Obviously the level everybody is playing at isn’t getting it done, so I think everybody has to step it up a level. We’ve just got to get back to playing football the way we know how. When we go out there and we play for 60 minutes and we don’t make mistakes, self-inflicted wounds, we’re a good team. But when we go out there and we start hurting ourselves and we allow big plays to happen and give teams the opportunity to score on us, that’s where we’re hurting ourselves. We just have to get back to us. I think we’ll be OK.”http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...onticket+(Season+Ticket+|+Sun+Sentinel+blogs)

well that went out the window when Ross gave Sparano an extension!

i like what he said i do think alot of these
mistakes are self inflicted and that is up to the coach to correct..

This is hilarious coming from Yerimiah Bell. Hey Yeremiah, did you watch the game tape from Sunday??? I can remember a pass in the first half that you tipped up in the air in which a Houston Texan receiver took it for a 40 or 50 yard gain. Look in the mirror buddy!!!

I overestimated the team's mental strength when I predicted a victory over Houston. The response we're seeing from the coach and veterans, this is the response I expected out of them after the New England game. I expected them to respond against Houston and then get a little too sure of themselves and drop an unexpected one against Cleveland...and then travel out to San Diego and lose just because the Chargers are too much team for them.

I should have known that it would take two losses to get this kind of response and get them to wake up.

But it doesn't change the fact that San Diego is going to be too much team for us going cross-country in Week 4.

Bell stinks, he should worry about himself. I can't remember the last time the guy made a play. Let's go through the list. Bell=overrated. Jones=awful. Dansby=who??. Burnett= was Crowder really that bad?. Wake= thinks its still pre-season. Misi= no comment. Davis= oy vei this guy needs to shut his mouth, stop faking injuries and play. Smith= not too shabby, but still can't tackle. Entire Dline= Poor in the running game so far.

this defense really does stink, I honestly thought we could be a top 3 defense. I hope I eat my words, but I just don't see any play makers on this defense.

Its the coaches job to take all the pieces and put them together. When NE was in the midst of their 3 SB wins despite average talent, it was stated that the sum was greater than all the parts. I think the opposite could be said about this Dolphins team. They are underachieving considering the talent level and that is a coaching issue.
Shula won playoff games with much less talent and a marginal QB (Woodley)

Our coaching staff is one of the worst in the league. From player development to drafting and signing free agents.

Cam wake same moves as last year. He is playing off of pure talent.
No talent developed on the O line. Jake came out of school as a beast.
DBs are playing of off instincts not a scheme.
TE end play is inconsistent at best.
Don't think a fullback has taken the field yet.
Multimillion dollar NT not hungry.
We need a coach not a front office spokesman.

As long as Bell has been on this team, he has gotten burned in coverage year-in, year-out. Does that mean he needs to step up, or that our team should stop putting him in coverage? How about both.

Lol, Yeremiah Bell is delusional.

This team is mediocre. And the coaching is mediocre.

That being said, so are the Browns. Turnovers are going to dictate this borefest. If we're coughing up the ball and throwing picks, the game is over.

Also lets not forget that the Browns did beat us last year. Who is to say they are gonna let the Dolphins waltz in with "confidence" and steal one on their home field. This isn't Sun Life after all...home field matters in Cleveland.
