is this a coincedence?
the man who i THOUGHT should have been starting from week 1,
gets his first start sunday...AND the secodary plays much better, dominate even. Bell even forced a fumble. I like this guy. i really wanted him to start week 1 and even last year. i hope saban finally realizes the potential of this "kid" :dolphins:

It should have been a no brainer.

most definitely!

"yeremiah was a bullfrog and he was a good friend of mine!"

hmmm, I would think tha Saban had his reasons for waiting until now to start him...what makes you guys think Saban is so dumb?..I mean, if "we" can see it, don't you think the odds are real good "he" does too?

Same goes for Jason Allen... he is finally seeing more playing time and seems to be becoming more of a factor.

classic case of coaching ego. the FA player signed by the new coach vs the player left over from the previous regime. this isn't a shot at nick, though, ALL coaches are like this.

I was happy to see him get his chance to prove himself and the same goes for Jason Allen

By no means did i say saban is dumb. i love nick saban.
he just didnt want to see his FA aquisition of Tillman do so horribly:lol:
Bell brings alot of energy and hard hits to this defense and can cover ABIT better than tillman. Saban had a plan and stuck with it...use bell on ST.
but after the GB gave he figured it was time to switch the roles...
one of his best decisions this year thus far:dolphins:

Saban does seem a little SLOW in desiding what to do. Look how long it took for him to come to the conclusion about Culpepper.Maybe he doesn't listen to his staff enough. Anyways KUDU's to Bell and the rest of the secondary and hope for continued improvement.

You have to remember that Bell was excelling in the dime packages, and it gave us an added dimension on passing downs. It's hard to replace someone like that now that he's been elevated to the starting lineup. Plus we don't know if Bell was picking up the system slowly, which may have impeded his progress. We know safety is the toughest position in Saban's defense.

good point tmny99
bell does have great raw tools that saban decided to give a shot at starting.
i like josh wilson out of Maryland. lol
OHHH DRAFT TALK. hahaha already

yo bell is a nasty tackler do you see how strong he tackles? hes arms are tottaly ripped and the guy hits hard and looked like he had great ballhawk instincts which is rare for safeties this days (exception reed, dawkins, couple more).
