The two of them has been nothing short of eye catching in my eyes. Yeremiah bell made 1 interception, 21 tackles (13 solo), 3 sacks, 53 sack yards, and three pass defenses. The only question is, is he more of a strong safety or free safety?

Derrick Pope, in my opinion, has proven himself over and over again. When Thomas went down and Crowder had to move inside, Derrick showed that he is a damn good OLB (though, the one time he did start, it was hard to notice his good play when the secondary got lit up). Also, he had shut down Sean Alexander int he second half of the Dolphins vs. Seahawks in 2004, making Pope the crucial reason the score was so close.

Yeremiah Bell will be our sack specialist from the get go. When you need a big play in the fourth quarter on defense, Yeremiah will be the guy flying in to kill some teams QB.

I don't know about Pope, but Bell should to start. He is a playmaker. I don't know if he will play strong safety or free safety

Both of them Could start and be very effective, I LOVE Bell, the kid is gonna be a star in this league!!!

I'm pretty sure Yeremiah Bell lined up at a bunch of positions. Occasionally CB and FS, and he seemed to line up at an unknown safety position in one of Nick's special Nickel packages. I will look up exactly what.

Derrick Pope really has no chance whatsoever to start as long as Zach plays. You cant have two 230 pound ILBs. I like him alot better then most people in this thread though, he has made plays consistantly.

1. Yeah, that too. But just like how they said our latest addition (Renaldo Hill) has lined up as a linebacker in some nickel packages, maybe Bell lined up as LB as well.

2 Pope is only in his second year. He can afford to wait, and seems like a patient person. When Zach retires, Crowder moves to middle, and Pope starts as well. Just my prediction.

No, I do not see Pope starting, he is a good guy to have as a backup in case someone goes down and he is someone that can play great on ST and contribute sometimes. Good but not starting material.

I do see Bell as a great S if he can keep himself healthy, he did come on strong last year and I liked what I saw. I see him starting this coming season.....after its all said and done. I see Daniels and Bell there from last year, we have to wait and see who gets the other CB and S spots.......with HIll on board now and Goodman also signed, see if they can get in the mix and of course Poole is coming back and I Know we will draft a CB or S in the draft,, if not more than 1.

I don't think Crowder will move back to the middle, he scarcely made plays there last year when Zach was out and has taken to OLB pretty well with his size/speed combo and athleticism. I would much rather Pope in the middle than Crowder.

i think pope has proved he can be a starter.when he had to fill in for zt he did a hell of a job.bell will do well as a starter to

bell is the man idk about pope if he could prove himself this year as a good sub maybe he can start later on or next year

What more does Pope need to do? He proves himself every time he gets in the game. How can anyone say size is an issue with him, just look at Zach.
