These guys have survived through 4 coaches, 3 front offices and still are on this team. It does say something about these two guys. This does not happen in many sports that a player will be retained throughout this many changes in coaches, players and overall team philosphy.
I think Yeremiah Bell has been our most consistent defensive player since he began starting sometime in 2006. He has always had a knack for where the ball is. Unfortunatley he does lack speed and quickness but I trust him in run support and he does make the occasional big play against the pass.
Vernon Carey has been an ineresting person to watch. He was drafted in 04 by wanny and has been the only player on our oline that has been here for more than three seasons. All of the revamping and changes and Vernon has remained a constant. I know people get on him sometimes but he is still a quality o lineman and I think if he moves inside this year he will do well.
