Yes, another trade idea (but a logical one)

I was thinking the same thing. This seems like a logical win win.

The Giants are stacked at D-line...they have Tuck and a former first round pick in Kiwanuka. They have long known Strahan was close to retirement. Burress is their top receiver, and they wouldn't trade him away just because he wants a new contract.

Maybe the Pats will give us Randy Moss for JT?? Or maybe we can get a 1 legged punter for him instead....give it up. Not going to happen.

Eli is the face of the franchise now. And if you think they are going to send him out there with 33 year old Amani Toomer, David Tyree, Steve Smith and a disgruntled Jeremy Shockey as his weapons then you are insane.

Next!

Plax is under contract - he's not going anywhere unless it's for another homerun hitter like Fitzgerald, Boldin or CJohnson.... and certainly not for a 1 year rental like JT especially when they apparently have that position covered.

There is no way the Giants trade way thier #1 wr for JT(one year and done). This trade is not going to happen.

Sorry thread starter but that would be an illogical trade. Like everyone else had mentioned before the Giants are stacked at Dline and they clearly have the build through the draft mentality. So why would they pay premium/use cap space when they have younger alternatives?

As far as Plax is concerned, if many of us were constantly upset that Chambers wouldn't fight for the ball how do you think we'd feel about Mr. Burress?

JT for Plaxico makes no sense at all. Why would the Giants give up their top receiver for a DE that says he only wants to play one more year. Bad trade.

I know everyone is tired of hearing about a trade, but an offer involving JT and Plaxico would serve both sides well. We would improve our WR core with an established NFL starter, and the Giants get a replacement for the retiring Michael Strahan.

I really don't think he is the WR we want our younger WR's looking up to! And you know with him being a vet that's what would happen. Also if the G-men did it they would desevre to be 1-15 this year.

I would much rather have Chris Chambers back then Plaxico . besides wasnt he the one that spiked the ball at mid field when the steelers played jax and one of jaggaur players picked it up and ran it bak for a touchdown ? I saw that game and the reffs didnt blow the whistle and jax won that game . I bet ole Bill Cowher was not a happy man over that episode.
