He was trying to hard to make something happen. It's not his fault the oline is awful. You stick any quarterback in the league out there with virtually NO running game, and NO PASS BLOCKING whatsoever, and they would do no better. It's like that commercial where David Carr lines up against the cowboys and there's no offensive line in front of him. You know what the scary thing is though? THe bengals aren't even a good defense.

Totally agree with you. right on the money

Like Theisman said.. when the Bengals didn't play aggressive on d-fense, the Dolphins were able to mount a nice drive that ended in a TD.

Feeley has talent, he just doesnt have an o-line

Peyton manning, daunte culpepper, or tom brady couldn't have done better. We could count the times they gave aj over 2-3 seconds on our hands

Well said Jeep, I couldnt agree with you more.

Exaclty .. you can't expect feely to make big throwing plays when he has about 2-3 seconds to get rid of the ball........ EVERY single down!

Can someone please tell me - Why we didnt use shotgun? It doesnt take very much to realize that giving AJ that one extra sec could have made a hugr difference. Did anyone else notice that CC and AJ looked to be on different pages on some of those plays?

He made some good throws but he also made a LOT of horrible throws and should've been intercepted at least 5 times. Granted the Oline was as bad as it could be but he needs to learn not to make "panic throws" and just throw it away.

Probably because Miami hasnt installed it yet...:(

new RB, new WR, new QB, new OLINE...I got money says they werent comfortable running from the shotgun.

Couldnt of hurt ... they didnt look very comfortable running much of anything tonight

Im not blaming just him but he made some bad decisions and should've been picked off a few more times. The o-line is the main problem Smith could've been just as effective from the bench as he was playing. This was one of the worse offensive displays i've ever seen.

That is true, but if Jay had been in there tonight many would be calling for his head. We'll see how people feel about AJ in a few weeks if he isn't in a wheel chair by then. I don't think the Bengals held back on our one drive. I think Randy lit a candle under a few of our linemen's asses. You could definatley see them pick it up 2-3 notches.

He's also VERY inexperienced and young.
Lets face it even if he had a good OL in front of him he was going to have some growing pains.

We gave Fiedler a four year opportunity to grow into a starter. He obvioulsy lost that opportunity on his own since the team has been trying to replace him (albeit by bargain basement shopping) for 2 years now. AJ should at least get a full year to show what he's got if Fiedler got 4 years.

AJ did some things that he simply cannot continue doing. If he had played better, this could have been a win.

At the same time, we do have to understand that this O needs time to get together. That will only happen if we have some stability. Feeley should look better three or four weeks from now. If he doesn't, that will be the time to ponder putting Jay or hell even Sage in there "to see how they'd do". I really don't think it will come to that, though.

You are right, plus why didn't we roll out of the pocket so they had to run farther to get to Feely? I am sitting here in Cali, I saw that!
