Before the ink dries on everyone's suicide note (that is upset) for not signing Drew Brees, trading a lower pick for Patrick Ramsey, or trading up for Cutler (insert other scenario here), think about what we just got. We obtained a PROVEN franchise Quarterback who wants to be a Dolphin in the worst way - a guy whose injury, though severe, will bring about a full recovery. You have a man who is playing in his home state and has been to multiple Pro-Bowls with a cannon for an arm.

Think about our personnel. We don't have great size at Receiver, but we have speed. We have the ability to get vertical. We have signed a top-5 in the prime of his career for a second round pick. Yes, Culpepper's stock is low, but it has been high before and with great coaching, it WILL get back to its previous heights.

Pick your scenario, but the writing is on the wall: Drew Brees did not want to be here/demanded too much money/his shoulder was screwed up/XYZ. Remember Nick Saban and his affinity for draft picks; why would he trade a second round pick for a guy who he could've gotten for no picks? There are outstanding circumstances and reasons we will never know as to why Mr. Brees is in New Orleans and Mr. Culpepper will be here (hopefully). Instead of complaining about acquiring Culpepper for a bargain price (IMO), think about why we did it.

I am challenging every one of you who is tightening that noose, to logically explain why you feel Saban was wrong. If you want to answer this call, come strong and make sure you use LOGIC. If you have an alternative to our move, make sure to offer another pragmatic solution that would benefit this team.
