We let Ryan Baker go, a productive backup. He has always performed when given the opportunity. We bring in Slaton who is a bust for the Texans and on top of that he is basically the same kind of back as Bush. How in the Hell is he going to perform any better than Reggie when the these idiots do not employ correctly the RB we have now? Will this insanity ever stop?:hsmash:

Man you ppl whine to much. Big freakin deal, ryan baker blows also.

Slaton has proven alot more in this league than Baker . I like the signing although I still think this regime needs to go

Baker sucks too. Only one thing he can be okay at and he's awful at everything else with his game.

Dime-a-dozen player

Seriously. I can't believe people are getting worked up over this. come on.. we replaced a scrub's roster spot with another scrub, one who has actually done something in this league before. time to go punch holes in the wall!

we dont need baker. slaton is needed if bush or daniel thomas go down were donezo

It's not like we are 3-0 with Baker on the team. What the hell try something to get a win. Baker was just a camp body that was sprinkeled in now and then. He wasn't a game changer. Slaton may have a better upside...... so why not give it a shot

It's a bit of a curious move because the Fins have a similar player in Reggie Bush, but was probably just made as Reggie insurance. Slaton, 25, can also return kicks. Averaging just 3.24 yards per carry on 170 attempts since his flash-in-the-pan rookie season, however, Slaton adds nothing as an inside ball carrier. He's essentially Bush's direct backup. Lex Hilliard holds the same role behind Daniel Thomas. Don't expect Slaton have any value this season barring injuries to all three of the above. Sep 28 - 4:14 PM

So I guess we are going to sit around and complain about everything? Geez!! Baker has been cut and resigned like 34 times in the last several years. Who cares, we will survive without him.

When you're as deep as we are, you need to make tough sacrifices. Would you want the Dolphins to cut a player the caliber of Jason Trusnik? Igor Olshansky? Austin Spitler? Psh. I think not.

Well said lol. Churning the bottom of the roster, after all, is all this team seems capable of doing. Any sort of BIG changes to an 0-3 would be out of the question.

Next thing you know posters will be bringing up the fact that if we had kept Ronnie or Ricky, drafted another OL instead of D Thomas, and signed D Sproles for 1/2 of what we spent on R Bush, we would be a better team.

Just because Ricky Williams has a 5.1 YPC rushing average means little.

Just because D Sproles has a 7.4 YPC rushing means nothing, nor does the fact that he has twice as many catches as R Bush does, or that he has 100's of return yards that R Bush does not have. Or that Sproles already has 3 TDs.

lol how can you write off slaton ? he has rushed for more yards than anyone we have had since ricky in his prime.

you're complaining about not keeping baker and signing a back who is probably ten time better than him ?

dont look now, BB churning his roster by adding ryan baker. or maybe jets...or maybe some other team in need of a DT/DE type to fill a hole. filling holes. filling holes. filling holes filling holesfillingholes

its called filling holes. u like to fill holes? i like to fill holes!
