If DT went down, we'd have no running game. Slaton as our 3rd RB adds a ton of depth.
 
Well Baker hasn't done **** during anything.

At least Slanton has shown something in the NFL before. Maybe a 1year wonder but he's still had atleast 1 year.

Just because Ricky Williams has a 5.1 YPC rushing average means little.

Just because D Sproles has a 7.4 YPC rushing means nothing, nor does the fact that he has twice as many catches as R Bush does, or that he has 100's of return yards that R Bush does not have. Or that Sproles already has 3 TDs.

Daniel Thomas right now is a better RB than Ricky Williams. He's making his own holes. Ricky wouldn't be doing **** behind this horrid line.

Daniel Thomas has better feet, **** like hoops says, ballerina feet in the hole, and lowered his pad level from when he came out of college, and is playing great football. Playing way better than the super Mark Ingram.

I can't argue Sproles over Reggie, I wanted Sproles.
 
Churning the bottom of the Roster is no big deal ... especially on bad teams like Miami.

We can get Baker back at about any moment ... he's on our extended couch (like the other cuts) ... little chance of him signing with another team.

Besides, Ireland has to act like he's doing 'something' in the face of the FUBAR he built.
 
Relax people. Baker was FA before we signed him, meaning nobody else wanted him. If we need him again he is just one phone call away.
 
When I was adjusting my Madden Roster Baker was the first guy I cut as well....... come to think of it with the way my offense and defense performs I think I will send in a resume for Head Coach. I seem to know how to use the guys in this offense.

I agree. If nothing else it offers depth and speed to the offense. Baker was terrible so why complain about a guy who got placed on the practice squad. I would love to see them start picking up somebody to solidify the offensive line though. That would be a very welcome addition...

Also Bush gets hurt every year so Slaton makes a great deal of sense. Especially from a team who had to reach out to Johnson earlier in the year for backup.
 
This move is akin to putting a band aid on a gaping wound....slaton being the band aid and our offensive line being the wound.
 
Maybe we will just keep hiring and firing Slaton like we did Johnson, who knows.

Or maybe Tony just signed him to get info on the Texans...of course Tony is to stupid to realize we already played them however.

I think thomas is doing great but to say Ricky wouldnt do crap behind this line is speculation because he did well last year behind less of a line and the previous year he ran for well over a 1000 yards whuile starting less than half of the games. Ricky has never ran for less than a 1000 yards when he has started 7 or more games. Ricky still averaged 4.2 yards a carry last year compared to our starters 3.7 so lets not be so fast to say Ricky couldnt do it.
