I completely did steal that from family guy but i just wanted to ramble on about a few issues that have been going down on this board. These are all opinionated and i expect some sort of heat/rebuttal for any comment or combination of comments

WE ARE NOT TRADING RONNIE BROWN
I don't know where some of you got this idea but why would we trade a franchise running back? Some might ask, Franchise running back? Yes thats right i said it. He had a fluke injury and his performance this past season was absolutely outstanding. For those of you who want mcfadden, you should reconsider your wants and desires. One being we already have a good enough running back and two being you want to invest in a rookie to handle the load if he even makes it in the NFL. There is no certainty on any player drafted or undrafted and that is too big of a risk to take.

WE DO NOT NEED A QUARTERBACK
John Beck has been working out all offseason trying to prove to our doubting fan base that he can be a solid quarterback in this league. What don't you understand about being thrown into the dog pit? He was given almost no opportunity to show what he could do because he did not have enough games under his belt to even deserve criticism on his performance. Matt Ryan is NOT the answer, and i will leave it at that.

WE DO NEED AN OFFENSIVE LINE
What happened? I do not know. Somewhere in the mix of all of the talk there are those who decided that offensive line was no longer a concern. WELL IT IS. We have been wanting a spectacular offensive line for the past 5 years atleast and we finally have a chance to get a guy with the most upside i have ever seen as left tackle draftee. Yes i mean Jake Long. Who we desperately need to sure up our offensive line.

feel free to add any more

pretty much agreed there. just for credibility purposes, i would go ahead and take my age off the screen. older dolphin fans don't seem to take much creedence in the words of a 16 year old. if you want to have opinionated opinions, pretend to be older bro.

the only one i don't agree with is the QB thing. while i also think matt ryan is maybe the best in a batch full of scrubs, i want to have a safety net for beck whose name isn't mccown. call me crazy.

I agree whole-heartedly. Especially about the Ronnie Brown thing. I mean he lead the lead in total yards up until like week 5 or 6 last year. Give the guy a break! The Philly trade talks are gettin old too. Until a link is posted, let it go!

In the NFL today you're going to need two running backs... and apparently it really doesn't matter what round they get drafted... IF... you have an OL.... in regards to RB... he remains unproven going into year 4... it's not a bash ... just the facts... we'll see.

It takes 3-4 years to become a productive NFL QB... it seems most fans have lost sight of that FACT... as for Beck... IMO he deserves time to develop... is he the answer... don't know.... is Ryan.... don't know...

If we draft anyone other than JL with the first pick... I'd be shocked.... a guy that projects to start for the next 10-12 years is a VALUE...

I agree that RB is staying put...I agree that Beck is the answer tho we will most likely draft a QB in the first 3 rounds as we only have 2 right now and I'm fine with drafting Jake Long tho if we get Chris Long then we need an OT at 32....what's more tho is we need to draft a guard too.

Ozzy rules!!

Hum
I agree with not trading Ronnie Brown. Still if a great value is out there in the draft at the RB position I say do not pass it up Ronnie has been injury prone since bing drafted and Ricky has made it a habit not showing up and is 1 suspension away of being gone forever!
I agree with not drafting a QB this year not because I believe that Beck is the answer but he should be given a chance this year to find out if he is the answer and another young QB would take aways snaps and training that he needs.
Yes we need an OL and right now we are missing the players to make it happen but that does not make Jake Long the answer but with such a glaring hole going into the draft that is a huge need so he could be the pick but that does not make him the best pick.

No arguments from me.

Too much family guy maybe lol.
I agree we wont trade Ronnie Brown but 6 games of a season do not make him a franchise back. Unless you want to call Derek Anderson a franchise Qb after only one good season. Brown has broke a 1000 yards once in three seasons and that was barely. He has tons of potential but to this point he is just another guy.

as for Qb who gives a damn how hard Beck had been working,Im sure there are alot of young qb's putting in work. I care about results, supposedly he worked his but off last year learning the playbook and so on and we did not see alot of fruit from that. Nobody outside some on this board feel that its a sure thing that Beck will be a good qb so why not look at getting another prospect in here. We have two qb's that will be over 27 when the season starts so why not draft another. Any position that we dont have a set starter at is worth upgrading. I dont put alot of stock in putting down a qb after one season but obviously no questions were answered for the positive and he did fumble alot for so few games. Lets not act like he had the 2004 offensive line that was just bleeding everywhere. Some of the same people that feel its unfair to put down Beck had no problem putting down Rosenfels after only starting one half of football. Beck was supposed to be this so much more ready rookie since he was older according to some but he just seemed like any other rookie. There have been some rookies that have played better some that played worse.

I do agree that we need oline in the worst possible way.

I wouldn't say we need an OL so much as we just need a RT, and maybe, not definately, a RG. 3/5 of the line is secure with Satele, Smiley, and Carey. Our O-line is really shaping up. So while we could USE at least one stud for the right side (doesn't mean we need to draft Jake Long) but it does make some sense. But then so does drafting Chris Long. I like the idea of drafting Gosder Cherilus with 2a and still being able to grab Chris Long with the #1. We'll get more bang for our buck I think.

As for Ronnie Brown and John Beck. I agree completely.

We just drafted a 1st day QB. It would be wasteful to draft a QB when we haven't even seen what we have in Beck yet. If he struggles again in 08 THEN you look to draft a QB in 09.

As for Ronnie, he was one of the best backs in the league, and he did it with average run blocking, against defenses who all knew we were going to run, run and run some more. His injuries while concerning (all injuries are) don't make me want to trade him. With rehab he should be back to 100%, and he won't be forced to carry the load because we'll have 3 capable backs, including Ronnie. Multi-RB backfields seem to be sweeping the league. Many of the top teams are doing it and we will follow suit. This will help Ronnie avoid injury and continue to be the highly effective back he has been when healthy.

As for Ronnie my prediction is that Ronnie will have one really great year in the NFL and another where he is still considered a top RB in the NFL and then that will be it. He will be injured the other remaining years and he will not go deep into his thirties if he plays past thirty at all. He may end up returning to baseball. He might stay healthy there.

So yah, if we could get anything for him I'd trade him while he still has value, and I wouldn't ever draft a 24 year old RB with the 2nd pick in the draft again.

Everybody has to admit, Beck looked baaaaaaaaaaaad last year. Not saying he can't turn it around, but I don't blame anyone for doubting him.

Obviously the Dolphins need to hit big on their OL draft picks this year or its going to be another long ugly season again next year. I really wanted Benedict to play gaurd for the Dolphins. God rest his soul.

How about if Baker slides to the 59th we convert him to OG?

we need 2 oline man a tackle and a gaurd, who do u want to start at the other gaurd position if we Dont draft one? we at least need depth to the oline we cut a starter and a good amount of the back ups. we need a starting rt and a starting rg, and prolly even a later round depth guy. if anything oline is our biggest need. i wouldnt mind adding another ILB, and mabey a secondary guy, but if i caould get one thing out of this draft it would be a solidified oline, means NFL caliber starter at every position.

who cares how old he is... if he makes posts like this it doesnt matter the dude knows what he is talking about... id rather see a 16 year old who knows football rather than just some casual fan who tries to look cool by typing some bull..
