That we couldn't of sent Dion Jordan to Philly for McCoy straight up? I know McCoy had an off year last year but he was the best RB in 2013 under Bill Lazor, Him and Miller would be slashing the throat of defenses. Now he is going to Buffalo which is the capitol of fat chicks and male suicide.

and Shady is going to hold out for more money and demand a bigger contract...

Of course there's this thing called a salary cap and McCoy was going to make a about $10 million. Given the saturation in the running back market, as good as McCoy is, this is not a good trade for Buffalo. They gave up a good LB and took on a huge salary for a player who was going to be cut. You sign Spiller for half and keep Alonso.

I am not spending that cash on a RB.

The Bills now have a spread RB in a smash mouth system. Will not work for them.

I can't blame McCoy for wanting more money to play in Buffalo. If that trade falls through because he does not want to play there, there will be a dozen teams that would on all fours crawling to get him. However that being said, if he were to somehow manage to block this trade, if I were Hickey you bet your arse I would be inquiring about him. Running backs have become a bargain so for McCoy to expect 15 mil a year is unrealistic. I could see him getting a 4 year 30-40 mil contract with 20 guaranteed. Also, who would have a bigger impact in Miami in 2015 McCoy or Jordan, and in Philly you know what McCoy in 2014, Jordan would be a better fit for Philly's D.

Signing him to that contract would be one of the dumbest moves this franchise could make...

Your right about that, I have been seeing "Spiller to Miami" and I am interested to see the terms of that deal if it happens. I'm guessing 3-4 years at 18 to 20 mil.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported that “McCoy is not going to be a happy camper about this trade” and that the Bills would have some bridge building to do. La Canfora also says McCoy and Rosenhaus will make noise about wanting a new contract and potentially holding out to get one.

SMH at all this outrage over a situation that clearly is not as simple as "just trade Jordan for McCoy". ... If the Dolphins are serious about landing Suh, and that is their priority, they don't need to deal with the headache and money issues that LeSean McCoy would bring. DL is a much more pressing need than RB right now and it could be easily argued that adding Suh is of bigger benefit than adding McCoy.

I'd rather have Suh too, I just don't see it happening. This McCoy thing of course is hypothetical, he is going to go to Buffalo to get his 9+ mil and then he will end up somewhere else. I'm just shocked that they did a flat swap Alonso for McCoy, and all this talk about the Eagles wanting Jordan that this wasn't a thought to be considered.

Would you think the same thing if he hit 1500 yds with 10-14 tds in 2015?

Yes, because he is a RB and RB's are not as valued as they have been in the past. DOes it help having a Good RB, Yes, but you don't throw that kind of money at the position...especially when you have other pressing needs.

You have NO IDEA what was considered and what wasn't. You are just assuming the worst because that's what message boards are for.

LeSean McCoy - RB - Bills
A source informed ESPN's Josina Anderson that LeSean McCoy is "frustrated" over being traded to the Bills and is "not going to make it easy, that's for sure."

"Of course he's not happy," added the source. "It'll be interesting to see how this process plays itself out because he's an interesting individual. ... He was like 'why me?'" Some are leaving the door open to McCoy possibly refusing to go to Buffalo, leading to the Bills possibly pulling out of the trade prior to it officially going through when the new league year opens March 10. But in all likelihood, the Bills will hand McCoy a new contract with more guaranteed money through 2015 and 2016 and let coach Rex Ryan work his magic as a coach with the ability to convince his players to "buy in." Ryan's the ultimate players coach.

yeah.. lets trade for an unhappy, frustrated RB that is "not going to make it easy" :rolleyes2: horrible idea

they can keep McCoy. good luck, Rex

Off year? He was third in the league in rushing.
