Since everyone keeps saying 2010 is the year we complete, I wanted to take a look at that team based on some projections of the extended contracts we have now..and the FA's we loose after this season if we don't resign them.. Of course this roster only contain the present players and no draft picks for this coming draft, nor any additional FA's we may sign for the rest of the year.. Do you think this team could complete. Oh yea I even include our ps signees from this year, knowing they probably won't be on the team moving forward to next year.. Hey our OL is intact on O and our LB's and Safeties are intack on D.

That team could definitly compete. We have a FA period and 2 drafts to take care of those holes on there. Looks like we'll need 2 corners, a WR, a NT and a SOLB and resign Ronnie. Thats nothing 2 drafts and a FA period can't cover. Plus we may have some surprises on our own roster; JA, Erik Walden, B. London. Who knows really. It is interesting to look at though.

that looks awful man...

granted there isn't anyone resigned and your missing 2 drafts...

solid team core, but alot fo the depth on that roster will be churned out

i notice you have backups for every position except Center...no backup there or is that where one of our backups at our Guard positions are also a backup for the Center position? just wondering...

I think there is a good nucleus there, but if the question is, if we don't resign anyone who's contract is up by 2010 can we compete with what's left? My answer would be "no." But that would be presuming we blow two drafts in a row and sit out of free agency for two years.

As you pointed out, we have the option of extending important players who's contracts are due to run out, and we have the 2009 & 2010 drafts & FA to look forward to. So the nucleus that's left in your post is a pretty solid bedrock to launch from if it gets a little help.

I'm not worry about 2010 yet......I can't wait for this year's draft which is in 26 or 27 days?...come on draft.

Ozzy rules!!
