Your AFC Defensive Player Of The Week: Cam Wake

Cameron Wake named AFC Defensive Player of the week

Wake recorded four sacks against the Titans while forcing two fumbles, both of which were recovered by Miami.
For his efforts, Wake has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6 of the NFL season.
Considering the impact Wake has had since joining the Dolphins, it’s a bit surprising that this is only the third time he’s been awarded AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
He was also named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month in October of 2012.

I really believe this could be a turning point for a healthy Wake this season, if as we originally believed that Suh is going to leave him a much less impeded path to the quarterback. Hopefully he saves a few in his back pocket for the Patriots game!

Oops, got beat to it, mods can you merge the threads?

it doesn't show up in stat column but the two holding penalties he drew in the second half counts as 6 on the day in my book.

#Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Will be a tough test for MIA as he leads the NFL in receiving yards

It's amazing the difference between a healthy wake and a nicked up wake. It's crazy the difference in his performance when he's healthy. Probably because he relies heavily on explosiveness, and anything that diminishes that makes a night and day difference for the man.

hamstring is tough. The fastest or most explosive WRs are relegated to looking like Brian Hartline when they have hammy issues.
