I just got back from the practice(the one not rained out) and got my mini-helmet signed. Coach Saban, Will Poole, Channing Crowder, and Cleo Lemon(whoopie!) all signed it. I almost got Randy McMichael too but he was absolutely swamped! And I went away without my Thomas jersey signed by the man himself

What are your autograph stories???

I was hoping that Zach Thomas would also parctipate in the signings but he seemed to go a MVP sort of area, take a couple of pics and the left without coming over to the average folks area. What are my chances of getting an autograph from him?

Keep pluggin. Zachs a good guy, he'll come around. Maybe. I couldn't honestly tell ya, if i was a professional who just finished a practice i'd probably just wanna sleep.

I live in Dayton Ohio and when i was 9 i met a few of the Bengals players. They was at the local mall and i went there to get some autographs. This was the year they went to the superbowl and lost against the 49ers.David Fulcher and Eric Thomas talked to me and gave me there autographs.Fulcher is really nice.Ive met him a bunch of times and hes always talked to me for a few minutes and signed whatever ive had.Well anyway Icky Woods was there and i really wanted his autograph.I walked up to him and said Mr.Woods may i please have your autograph and he said son i dont have the time right now and walked away.I was so mad.He was just standing there with the rest of the Bengals and he wouldnt sign anything for anyone. At 9 years old it crushed me.I was so happy the next year when he got hurt.I no that sounds bad but what an @$$hole right?

only time I got any autographs was at a Saints/Colts preseason game(I'm from Indiana so most of my family watches the Colts and I've always kind of been a Saints fan...pathetic I know). I was just standing around talking to Mark Fields and a few other players and they took my program and passed it around the locker room...I didn't ask for a single autograph and wasn't really acting like it was a big deal(because it isn't). I felt getting the 20 minutes prior to the game spent talking...on a football level and a overall sports level(video games, baseball, basketball, whatever) was much cooler than getting anything on a piece of paper. As the players were getting on the bus, I saw Ricky and he went to reach for my program and the program from the kid next to me and I pulled it back and just shook his hand, gave him a quick word of support, and wished him well. He smiled and seemed to respond much better than to those looking for pictures and autographs.

I've gotten quite a few at team hotels. The best ones are:
Taylor
Thomas
Welker
Booker
Surtain
Madison
Crowder
Roth
Carter
Seau
Hadnot
Got pictures with them also. Then next time I go back, I try to get them to sign the pic with me and them.

i actually got zach's autograph a few years back. I was watching practice at nova univ. and a few players that i really could not recognize came over to sign some autographs, as i watched all the fans surround every person i was amazed to see zach walk over to my section unfortunately i was still in the bleachers and had about 20 people lined up to try and get an autograph from zach but i said to myself what the heck let me give it a chance.. I used my skinny frame to get thru a few people and found myself about 5 people back from the fence so i used my long monkey arms and flashed the pamphlet right in his face just so he had no choice but to take it and sign it. It was a great day in history for me.hahahha:goof:

Yeah, Zach was in the background talking with some people in the super MVP section and of course we all start chanting ZACH ZACH ZACH! He starts to walk away. He then turned and waved real quick to us and then went into the locker rooms. :boohoo: Maybe I'll get lucky next time...

On the flipside, I've got alot of respect for Will Poole now, he even let me take his pic, flash and all. And my girlfiend now has a favorite player in Randy McMichael beacause he stopped midway through signing autographs to tie his son's shoe. That was enough to win her over.
