Miami's first down run percentage is tied for third-worst in the league at 18.4 percent.

Miami's run-to-pass percentage is 35% run and 65% pass.

The top ten teams in points per game average 27.97 rushes a game, compared to Miami's 22.2.

Some food for thought.

I want to see him continue to improve. In some previous games, he has had ****ty protection and some really bad drops to deal with. I was impressed by his ability to keep the team competitive with no rushing game, awful pass protection, and the third most drops of any QB in the NFL to deal with (at that time).

Against the Jets, the receivers were outstanding and the protection was, too. We had an actual rushing game to work with. Missed plays were on him. If the rest of the team can deliver that kind of performance again, we must expect him to capitalize on it.

hes deff playing a lot better than he has earlier in the year.

fumbles down, sacks down, throwing the ball away more rather than getting sacked, etc.

deff improving to say the least.

what seperates the top notch guys from the low tier guys is the consistency. lets hope he can continue to avoid fumbles and costly sacks as he has done the past few weeks.

still needs to work on his timing with wallace on deep routes, and make the big play when its there.

this week will be the biggest game to date in his career. lets see how he performs in a hostile environment vs a team on life support.

P.S, to the OP, not trying to diminish anything, and i dont think i am by saying this, but to say he has more td passes than rodgers, while statistically true, rodgers also has not played a full game i believe since week 8 and i dont think anyone on here who would take tannehill over rodgers, which is not a knock on tannehill, as id pretty much take rodgers over any qb in the nfl right now, given that he prob has at least 5-6 more prime years left, and with the way the rules in the nfl r geared, could be a lot more.

I understand the "leave Rodgers out of it" BUT, Tannys ability to stay on the field cannot be discounted. Considering how many sacks he has taken.

Excellent job. There should be no doubt for the Tannehill haters now that he is a complete bust. Yes I'm being sarcastic. If he had an oline and a running game no telling where we would be now. Probably 2 more wins.

Sad...but true. The T-Hill haters are going to come out like roaches at night :-)

Good post but Aaron Rodgers hasnt played in like 4 weeks. If he had he certainly would not be on this list. Regadless you have to like the company he is with

With regard to the quarterback-related variables that are strongly correlated with winning, Tannehill is no better than average right now.

Considering the running game is ranked bottom 1/3 of the league in every major statistical category and we are among the worst 2 teams in converting 1st downs with runs and in short yardage rushing, I'd say that's a positive

And on the other hand Robert Griffin's running game is among the top 1/3 in the league in every major statistical category

Stop with Aaron Rodgers comparisons. Thats just silly

Out of the everything posted by the OP, this is what you decided to post? When did he compare Tannehill to Rodgers? by stating that he had more TD than Rodgers? It would have been much smarter if you said it's because Rodgers is injure.. Jeezuz. What an awesome set of facts..
