This thread http://www.finheaven.com/showthread.php?376721-Worst-Dolphins-QB-Ever-Most-hated-Lets-be-thankful! gave me an idea. While I was revisiting some of our horrible QBs post Marino I came across a couple games which are burned into memory like they happened yesterday. Championships always trump as the greatest moments ever but what if your team struggles for almost 2 decades. What memories will you take away. 20 years, an entire generation who grew up knowing nothing but misery as a Dolphins fan. What are the defining moments which kept that generation being a Dolphins fan.

The most memorable moment could be positive or negative.

My honorable mention is the win against Baltimore to avoid an 0-16 season but my top 3 are:

3. Monday Night Miracle (negative); losing to the Jets in the Meadowlands after leading 30-7 in the 4th quarter.
2. Last playoff win (against Colts); coming back from 14 down to win in OT

But my #1 is -
It was a beautiful December night in Florida. Monday Night football came to town. The 2-11 Dolphins were facing the 12-1 NE Patriots, defending Champion and battling for 1st place in the AFC with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A blowout in the making? Ricky quit on them just days before the season started. Starting QB not playing. Coach quit. An unknown interim coach (Bates) facing his worst nightmare: a struggling franchise facing a superior division rival with an entire Nation watching in a sold out game. In a desperate move the Dolphins brought out the Orange jersey which was worn a year earlier for the first time in a magical Sunday Night comeback win against the Redskins.
That December night the stadium was sold out. The crowd young, energetic, enthusiastic, raucous and loud. That night was advertised by the local media as "Orange Night" and a lot of Orange was to be seen. It was the night to be known as "The Night That Courage Wore Orange"

What are your most memorable moments since 1999?

The one that stands out the most to me was the Monday Night Miracle, because I was at a Cinema Draft type place watching it.

After the first half, rowdy dolphins fans were tearing up Jets pennants in front of the theatre. We were ecstatic, going nuts, have another beer! I then recall walking out of the place at like 1:30 am with my future ex-wife, just miserable.

2006 - Ronnie Brown DESTROYS the Patsies...it was a beautifull fall day and all my windows were open...my entire neighborhood thought a riot was happening in my house

can't remember the exact date of this game but it was AT Denver (night game) in 2002 and Fielder was our QB and was one of the most intense wins I've ever seen. Also it was a costly win (Chambers also took a vicious hit that gave him a concussion)

2005 - Sage rosenfels comes off the bench to lead a comeback against the bills, we were down 23-3 with like 4 minutes left in the 3rd, chris chambers catches a fade route on 4th down for the win, i **** myself.
2008 - beating the jets in NY to win the division
2015 - my first game attended in miami, we CRUSHED the texans, ill never forget the way that south florida rain felt aqs we took a 21-0 lead. About half the fans went inside when it started raining, sad excuses for fans if you ask me.

Honorable mention - Greg camarillo, you know the rest

beating the Jets with pennington to clinch the division

The first half against Houston last season was amazing although the season as a whole was forgettable.

Maybe the best half of football our team has ever played.

There have been some good ones, the number one has to be the 2004 comeback against the Patriots, just because it was a nationally televised game and seeing us come back against Brady while he was being worshipped by the announcing crew the entire game was wonderful. The night game versus the Jets a couple years ago where Henne lead a game winning drive (what am I typing?) to beat Sanchez was phenomenal.

That 2009 monday nighter vs Jets. Henne threw the 50 yd 4th quarter bomb to Ginn who blew past Revis, then later on led the GW drive. Henne's a punchline around here these days, but we all felt hopeful that night.

SNF against the redskins. It was my first Phins game I ever went too. Dolphins come back to win and Fiedler came in to lead the comeback
