If we end up trading a 5th for Joey i will be very dissapointed honestly. Once again trading picks away. is it me or is saban "going away from his full draft BS?" And if we pick up Bennett thats another pick most likely cuz i doubt we'll swithc players. I alreayd dont like teh sound of this guys. What ya'll think?

and we are getting joey, Watson hopefully, and bennett and losing moore. More good pick ups, new players with new things to bring to the table and losing another wanny puzzle peice.

So you wouldn't trade a 5th rounder for a former number 3 pick who is insurance in case Daunte can't go? The draft has gotten so big everybody thinks a 5th rounder can turn the fortunes of a club around. Give me a break. Harrington is more important to this team than whomever we would've gotten in the 5th next year.

its all relative to what you can get for the pick. harrington for a 5th? absolutely. he is still young and most 5th round picks don't even make teams much less become a major contributor on anything other than special teams.

Last Year Saban had 3 draft picks as full time starters which lead the NFL.
Won't be suprised to see at least 2 come out of this year which will once again put Saban in the upper notch of drafting starters.
I have full confidence the man knows what he is doing by letting go of a fifth rounder if that is what has happened.

You'll be disappointed, I'll be ecstatic. Funny how the world works huh?

5th round picks are no guarantees. Hell, Harrington isn't a guarantee either. Speaking of guarantees, there are none that Detroit would've picked up JH's option or not. They could've kept him on the team just to spite him/us.

You never know

Whats to say we are going to pick up Bennett? Just cause the Saints have him out there for trade bait doesn't mean we are going to trade for him. Lets be real here. I think the Moore/Watson trade might get fixed but we'll see. I doubt we trade for Bennett though. I'd rather stick to Ronnie, Sammy, Kay-Jay. Ricky will be back next year in shape and will provide us with the best RB duo in the NFL for us to go win the Super Bowl back-to-back.

The most important part of what you said:

"losing another wanny puzzle piece"

Exactly. Hmm, trade away a 5th round pick for a #3 overall QB or use that same 5th next year on a 5th round QB who may not even make the team!?!?!?

Why do people constantly whine about a subject they clearly haven't given much thought to?

When you give up a 2nd round pick for AJ Feeley, a 5th round pick for the guy who started in front of Feeley at Oregon is a steal. Plus, we got Cleo Lemon for a 6th round pick and Feeley. A 5th rounder is not bad compensation for Harrington. I hope though it is a conditional 6th round pick that can become a 5th, but we will see.

There was a report on Sirius radio that it was a 6th that would turn into a 5th based on amount of snaps/playing time.

I am not happy about it...but Millen could have been a **** an kept Joey until the middle of June...at least we should get him here earlier and he can hopefully participate in training camps, and learn the system, and then we can have him ready for the preseason while DC keeps working on his knee rehab. Saban did a nice job with this year's draft (despite us not having a 5th or 6th rounder). I can live with it.

would we be hearing all of the complaining if we didnt have culpepper i think the majority of dolfans would still be stoked if we got joey for a 5th if we didnt have daunte. the value of the player outweighs the pick good call on saban
