I'm still stoked about this guy, Fasano. Watching him early in the season/pre-season i was ecstatic, but i had to downgrade to "stoked" for the sake that he's been showing some inconsitencies. He's still young and comming off of that surgery so i'm not gonna go rough on him, plus he was a former 2nd rounder that we got in a package with another starter for like a 4th so basically everything about this guy is pretty good IMO. He can run/pass block and is developing (obviously not as fast as i want) into a legit receiving threat.

Also i'd like to add that David Martin has surprised the hell out of me. I wrote him off as seemingly worthless last year and the year before but he's made some really clutch catches this season. Somthing that i didint expect out of our no. 2 TE, let alone Martin. My apologies to him he's really stepped things up.

I wanna hear your guys' thoughts! Post Up!

A they have played great so far through 9 games they have a combined 41 catches 562 yards and 4 td's

Fasano: I liked him before acquring him and he has not disappointed. He is a good all around tight end and has come up big in spots

Martin: I didn't expect much from him, in fact I thought he'd get cut, but he has surprised me. Not only is he not dropping balls but he is making some tough catches. He still needs to be a better blocker but it is what it is

I gave the TE a B. They have been above average, but if they want an A then they need to catch more TD's and block just a tiny bit better (mainly pass-protection)

big fesano fan but hes not the greatest catcher , lets say
with work he can be total package , he is dedicated to being hhis best
david martin plays better at wide out like he did in college for tenn.

I would love Martin as a WR because he is large and knows how to use that size.

He would also be a dual threat because he can play 2 positions and this regime loves that stuff.

Also they don't have to change him this season either because learning a new position (albeit similar one) on the fly, halfway through the season, would be difficult. Another thing about that is that people don't understand how big of a move that would be because it takes all TC for some players to learn the play book just for their spot and many never learn the responsibilities of every position on their side of the ball for every play. Also coaches like to tweak plays a lot throughout the year, whether for just one week or for the rest of the season, that often confuses people.

Oh Yeah, I voted for a B because they have been above average, not great but very good.

A pleasant surprise for me and I think I speak for all Dol-Fans when I say for the franchise. Another position (along with QB) that we don't have to draft for that we have had trouble in the last few years.

Well said.

Fasano was a big part of Brady Quins success at ND. I was at the ravens game and saw Martin make a sick catch down the seam. Defender was on him like a cheap suit and he reached around him and snaged it with his hands. I graded a B, but they are going to be a great tandem soon.

I give them an A. After last year I thought we were hurting with Martin, but that guy surprised the snot out of me. He has had some clutch catches that kept drives alive. I think him and Fasano make a good tandem.

I gave them a B. As previous posters have said, they have been good not great. Earlier in the season Martin's and Fasano's production was on a crazy pace. Their production has declined the past three games as the production of the receivers has increased. I wonder how much that directly correlates with three straight victories.

It corrolates to a more mature passing game.

in all honesty they are playing great. youll see a decline because the offense is finally becoming more balanced as each week goes by. penny is getting the ball around to EVERYONE which is a wonderful situation to be in espcially when everyone can play on the ball as well. this make defenses play very humble against us.

I give our TEs an A i dont think Martin has droped a pass this year i may be wrong but i havnt seen it and they are both blocking very well

Production has tapered the last few weeks, but they are nice big short yardage threats fopr chad who loves the short dumps and curls, etc.

I think Henning needs to throw more 2 TE sets out there and let one go deep and the other stay short. It seems to work. Everytime Fasano or Martin go deep, it looks like they sneak past the coverage for a nice 15-20 yard gain.

But from a expected standpoint it looked as if tight end was a real weak point on thsi team but Fasano has been good and Martin has played incredible compared to last year it looks like a different football player,
