People on this board who are picking apart Culpepper are simply in denial. Anyone who doesn't see the truth and accept it needs to right now: We are not a great football team. We aren't even a good football team. Last year it was generally agreed it would take 3 years to fix Wannstedt's mess, we are barely into Year 2 and people are angry cause their Super Bowl at home pipe dreams are falling apart.
Culpepper hasn't made a turnover in two games, just threw for 250 yards and a TD on a decent completion % considering he had to throw the entire 4th quarter from behind on the scoreboard, and people here are absolutely ripping him for standing in the pocket too long and making horrendous decisions. I saw the guy on several occasions break a tackle or a sack and slide out of the pocket and complete a pass, maybe you guys were watching a different game. If the guy completes 60% of his passes and is making all those mistakes, then I guess you will only be happy with 85% completions and 5TDs. He is improving and not yet up to form. Joey is a joke of a QB with a weak mind and putting him in would be disastrous.
The problem is that everyone here who hates Pep is basically looking for someone to blame. You don't want to accept its not all his fault, its the fact the team sucks, period. He has played 4 games for the franchise and you already threw him under the bus. Just accept the fact he is hurt, Ronnie has no holes, Chambers is MIA, the OL is bottom 5 worst, the DL is aging and overrated, the LBs from left to right are overrated, aging, and a nobody. The DBs are pathetic. The special teams are average at best. The playcalling is not timely and our redzone conversion is a joke. Every facet of the franchise is in bad shape. STOP blaming Culpepper, take off the homer glasses, and take a look at your Miami Dolphins, a bad football team.
Armchair QBs need to chill out and just support the team. They might improve and win 9-10 games still, maybe not, but stop being unrealistic with your expectations, this board looks like a daycare with everyone crying about the QB play. Hope for the best, but stop pretending you know squat about football in comparison to those in the organization.
