Pretty funny, also underscores how it was just plain a bad throw:

Here's what the press has said:
Even after return, doubt surrounds Culpepper
Published September 8, 2006
PITTSBURGH -- Daunte Culpepper's knee was never the issue.

Costly interceptions were the issue.

Dumb decisions were the issue.

A tendency to unravel quickly and at inopportune times was the issue.

Pretty much everything Culpepper did during the fourth quarter of Miami's 28-17 loss to Pittsburgh on the NFL's opening night was the issue.

If you thought the reason Culpepper is no longer in Minnesota had to do with shredded knee ligaments, then watching Culpepper on Thursday night was like putting ammonia under your nose.

Thursday night was why a stoic, aging Brad Johnson is more attractive to the Vikings than a gregarious, more physically gifted Culpepper.

As far as debuts go, this one was somewhere between complete disappointment and total stinker.

PITTSBURGH - Charlie Batch outplayed Daunte Culpepper. Outplayed? He was Ali to Culpepper's Wepner. He was rock to Culpepper's scissors. He was windshield to Culpepper's bug.
Batch was 126.5 by the quarterback rating.
Culpepper was 49.5.

Commentary: A leader? Daunte looks lost

PITTSBURGH — He didn't look very dangerous.

It was supposed to be different for the Dolphins with Daunte Culpepper as their quarterback after a long procession of mediocrity at the position.

But it wasn't.

Culpepper - carrying a burden dating to Dan Marino - seemed more custodial than cutthroat, and that can't be why the Dolphins got him.

It just can't be.

And the custodial part was while he was playing modestly well.

Things turned downright awful for the Dolphins when Culpepper finally went haywire. It's too early, certainly, to assume caretaking is the best Culpepper can do, but this performance had to be at least a little frightening for Miami's bosses.

That was the gist of it, really, from Heinz Field in elementary explanation of Miami's 28-17 loss to Pittsburgh in Thursday's first game of the NFL season.

That and Culpepper's astonishing and crushing late failings with the game in the balance.

"I'm better than that," Culpepper said.

He'd better be, or the Dolphins will be in deep trouble quickly.

stupid arse steelers fans who love toyin with other teams cant wait to see there faces after they wont repeat as champions
I think they really felt threatened going into it. Many had them picked to lose, especially with Batch in and Roethlisberger out and their 0-4 preseason. And everybody was expecting to see the Culpepper of 2004, not the Culpepper of 2005.

The articles are right on point. The video was kinda lame.

But these writers summed up the game for dolphins fans. Disappointing to see our "savior" play the way he did, no matter how much optimism you have.

yeah youre right about that

Wow, are those articles from actual journalists??? Could they be more dramatic about an opening game.

Well, it was the first game of the NFL season, nationally televised on a Thursday night, was hyped up a lot, and even had a opening show.

Quarterback's debut poor, but better days ahead.

PITTSBURGH · OK, that wasn't such a good debut by Daunte Culpepper. It certainly wasn't a new look for a Dolphins quarterback in recent years. There were a lot of good things in this opening 28-17 loss to Pittsburgh, moments that show why the Dolphins are a good team and plays that promise better times ahead.

But Culpepper didn't have a good game. The moment in the mind's eye has him sort of trying to stop Pittsburgh linebacker Joey Porter from taking an interception for a game-ending touchdown in the final minutes.

That was the second interception he threw in two fourth-quarter possessions. That's not what you wanted to walk away from his first game as a Dolphin saying.

You wanted to say you saw something new and promising, that the chest of quarterback hope had been unlocked right from the moment the curtain went up. Surely there will be such moments coming this year. They just weren't there at this start.

There was a Jay Fiedler moment instead. A couple of them even. When you go through the preseason without a touchdown pass, you said what's it really matter. He's healthy. He'll be fine. And there's no reason to doubt he will be fine as the season rolls on and he gets more comfortable.

He just wasn't comfortable this night. He completed 18 passes for 37 passes for 262 yards. No touchdowns. And there were the two interceptions in the final minutes, the ones that guaranteed for all the good the Dolphins did this night would be buried under a stinking pile of confusion and controversy.

Daunte Culpepper completed 18-of-37 passes for no touchdowns and two interceptions in Thursday night's regular season opener.
His second pick was complete to Joey Porter, who returned it 42 yards for a TD to seal the Steelers' win. Culpepper struggled with inaccuracy and was especially unsuccessful on deep passes, normally his strength. He couldn't move the ball on the ground either, collecting eight yards on three carries.
