Zach dominated, JT a little confused...

WOW, what a difference a week makes... Our first string defense completely dominated there first string..

Zach dominated this game and I think he's going to have his biggest year! "Maybe" a lower number of tackles, but this guy has a nose for the ball! He was throwing around linemen and getting to the play!!

I love JT, but you could see that he is trying to adjust, he looked a little confused at times, even fell on his butt on an outside rush...

He said as much when Kim interviewed him. He said he was trying to adjust and had a lot more learning to do. He also said it was ok to make mistakes now but come September, he needed to get them sorted out.

zach has definetly bulked up a little...... he knows he has get those lineman off him quickly. His arms are almost too big, I'm positive they put Bostons to shame.

I think we are still hiding alot with this defense.... JT has not shown the stuff we will see in the season. From reading Sporting News this past weekend, he said he talked to Vrabel of the Pats who said it will take awhile to learn, but it will be worth it. JT is gonna be everywhere once the season starts!

I agree #54 is shedding blocks well and really penetrating when he blitzes....playing with good speed too, the Junior Seau off-season regimen I think helped him out.

JT has yet to be unleashed. We've seen none of the stuff they've talked about with JT backing up as a linebacker or moving around to passrush from different positions. There's a reason. Saban wants to have all that stuff "still in the jar" for when we need it in real situations. Right now he's laying the groundwork, so that he can get tricky during the regular season. JT is still JT.
