As Zach is once again having another stellar year, how does he stack up in all-time career tackles? I did a search but couldn't find any records. I imagine the all-time leader in NFL tackles must have well over 1000 solo tackles.

What else do you think Zach has to do, career-wise, to be a hall-of-fame linebacker? If he can play another 4 or 5 years at a high level, his numbers will be huge!

To be HOF he has to lead the D to a SB and get around 150t, 5 sacks and 3 picks in the season then he will get great publicity and props.

One thing to keep in mind (before you get disappointed) is that there are only 16 linebackers in the hall of fame.

Zach Is The Man, This Will Be His Year!!

DEFENSIVE STATS

asdfdfTotal Tckl Ast Sacks IntYds Avg Lg TD Pass Def
TOTAL 136 1295 805.0 490 14.5 15 174 11.6 34 4 36

Zach will go to the HOF, because he is the best MLB ever. Saban's thinking game is going to put him over the top and a ring on his hand.. :D

I sure didn't know that... :shakeno:

Without a ring he hasn't got a shot. A ring does not make him a better player, but a career without the big one will not do it for him.

It's going to take alot more than that for Zach to even get on a list for consideration. Don't misunderstand me; I appreciate everything the guy has done for the Dolphins during his time here. I'm not convinced, however he's been good enough to get that kind of recognition. As good as Zach is and as valuable as he is to the Fins, you can't consider him to be a top ten player regardless of position. I'm pulling the "top ten" out of the air. But my point is this: look around the league and try to think of the very best few players currently playing-guys like Manning or maybe Tomlinson, or Randy Moss. These are the kind of guys who get considered. Being considered doesn't get you in, it only gives you a chance to get in.

He has 47 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, a pass deflection and for tackles four loss... in THREE games. He doesn't show any sign of slowing down. I think if he gets anything like 140-160 tacks and 3-4 picks, couple to few more sacks he'll get some pub he deserves.

Unfortunently I agree with you,you only have to look at how another great linebacker of our's has been treated. Does the name John Offeradall ring a bell?

Offensive players tend to get more pub then they deserve. So even if you don't hear Zach's name on ESPN all the time doesn't mean he isn't great. NFL Network is catching on though, they gave him time on Dolphins cam last night on Total Access are giving him more notice on playbook.

Second that!!

I just dont see it happening.

I personally think he deserves it but when you are only accepting 2 new generation players each year I just don't think he is going to be one of them.

Knowing the NFL they will let in Bruschi before Thomas as sick as that sounds.
