I know for a fact zach is the best linebacker in the nfl! but it seems he never gets that respect from the whole leauge. when its clear as glass ray aint on zach's level
 
I disagree.. I'd take Ray Lewis over Zach. Zach gets caught up with blockers when he blitzes.. Lewis is alot more powerful, and bigger to shed those blocks.

Lewis also was good enough to lead his defense to a super bowl title.. And without an offense to really help them.. Zach hasn't been able to do that either.

Zach is the leader of wut has been one of the more dominating defense in the last decade. He is way more valuable to the dolphins than Lewis is to the Ravens. Plus Lewis is more injury prone than Zach. And if ur going on sacks that lewis is better that is a horiible asumption, sacks are "Sexy" in todays nfl, but tackles are way more important and productive.

Tackles don;t say the whole story.. Stats are often times misleading..

There is a good reason Lewis is more respected around the league and gets more notoriety.. With no offense, Lewis led that team to a SB victory .. Miami has missed the playoffs in how many years in a row now ?

coaching! coaching! coaching! u might want to take that into consideration when it comes to sd titles
 
of course ray is bigger, stronger and faster, but thats why Zach is so much better than him
 
Miami's defense has always been built around giving the MLB the lanes to make the tackles.. Zach just gets easier lanes to make tackles.. Baltimore's defense is not built solely for the MLB position..

Yet Lewis is much more noticeable in games.. He is a harder hitter, he is better in pass coverage, he has more passes defensed, and he is better at rushing the passer.. Total sacks don't say the whole story. He gets a ton of qb hurries and pressures while Zach is caught up one on one with a o-lineman because he can't shed the blocks.


Ray Lewis is also a champion.. To a man, Baltimore players will say HE LED that team to a title .. And Like Miami, they had no offense to speak of.. Who was their QB again when they won it all ? They won a SB with Lewis leading them.. Thomas never did that.. He is just not as good an overall player Lewis is. Period ..

Pro Bowl center Kevin Mawae used to own Zach Thomas when he was with the Jets.. He totally Owned Thomas year in and year out.. But he didn't own Lewis .. Even Mawae once said the best linebacker in the game is Ray Lewis.. He knows alot more than you do being in the trenches.
 
bottom line ray couldnt handle the 3-4 defense he got lost in the mix, while zach lead the leauge in tackles hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
 
Baltimore was 13-3 last year with lewis leading that defense.. You make no sense.. What was Miami's record ? LOL.. And all because a team runs a 3-4, there ared different versions of it.. Miami's version makes the Middle linebacker free to make tackles.. Again, simple stats are misleading..

Ray Lewis also led his defense to a SB title.. Zach never even came close to doing that..

And Maybe you need this repeated -
