What are Zach Wilson's best/worse attributes as an NFL quarterback? How can he help/hurt us?

Curious to your replies.

Thanks!

His best ability to our team is his availability. He is not injury prone and is tough. Seen him get destroyed and play through it. Tua is tough too but his body seems to have more miles on it this early on

Pros:
Hunts Milfs
Has seen and ain't scared of no ghosts!
Spent a year under the guidance of Sean Payton
He is built for a balanced attack, so if he is swung into a game or two, the game plan will be balance to suit his strengths
Use to having a crappy O-Line

Cons:
Probably still has a Jets jersey somewhere at home hanging on a wall
Mike Greenberg use to stroke the magical media flute for Wilson

ZW has a strong arm with a quick release, he’s mobile, BYU has a similar offensive philosophy as McD (Get the ball out quickly). He’s durable.

Once things is certain: Wilson will never outperform Tua.

I’ve only watched a handful of games of the dude since he entered but he sure was talented coming out. But he could be a dummy and not be able to read a defense at this level, I thought he was gonna be good and he surely hasn’t

Reserve judgement for now

That’s fair. BYU runs a complex offense so he isn’t likely to be a dummy. I think he was young, got over drafted, tossed into the biggest market/NYC in the USA and thrust into a starter role day 1. I think the culture shock, instant attention, etc overwhelmed him. I also think his coaching was poor. BYU QBs are typically developed, and take time to find their footing in the NFL (Steve Young for example). Wilson does have the physical traits you can’t teach, so if his maturity level improves and the light comes on….he could be a very good QB. This is a low cost very high upside insurance policy for Tua.

Wilson's best attribute? He's not an injury-prone, easily concussed Tua. He could probably run for more 1st downs than Tua.

I’m hopeful on Zach. Last year our backups were totally inept except for maybe the Cleveland game. Zach has the arm to be competent at least. He’s got to clean up his progressions and toughness but he’s got a good staff here to build him up. I think he’s got a chance. This should be a huge upgrade. Hopefully it won’t ever need to be proven though.
