While it is easy to attack the individual players on our O-line, I wonder if the zone blocking scheme we are utilizing doesn't have more of an affect then a lack of talent. It seems that the only players on our line that are built to utilize a zone blocking scheme are Martin and Pouncy while everyone else has to try and overcome the scheme to utilize their skills. Given that zone blocking schemes usually help quick, decisive, one cut backs (of which bush is certainly not) why are we still trying to implement this system. It seems to me we simply don't have the depth at other positions to waste picks and cap space replacing 3/5 of our line (and that's assuming martin has the talent to stay as a RT). Can someone explain to me what benefit i'm missing about the zone blocking scheme?
