Zone Blocking vs. Man Blocking

Good Read. Thanks. It really does show that Denver scheme makes the runner look even better than they are.

Who can say it's not in Denvers master plan.... take late round backs.... plug them in the system.... get hype.... trade for high round picks or established players..... kind of like swapping a 6-7th for 2-3rd after two seasons...

it's a good investment on their part and it works

Speaks volumes to have an established system and finding players that match that system and then coaching them up....

the only real good back they actually had was Terrell Davis

Blocking Scheme or not everytime he got the ball he was a threat to score...sad too see him leave so early could of been the best

Clinton Portis is pretty damn good too.

I know the system demands "one cut"... they obviously looked at backs that could make that cut and get "positive yards" if he happened to be a break away guy all the better.... they did not need "superstar" status to get productivity out of the position... just football players

Good article, although I agree there are far too many variables to say there scheme is better than any other one. Look how good Jamaal Lewis did, Emmit Smith, etc.
