𓄃𓄃𓄃 Official Hunting Thread 𓄃𓄃𓄃

I really haven't hunted in about 7 years. Last time was in back yard with shotgun during 1 week when rifles are allowed in Ohio. The deer stayed away and I never got a shot. The prior year I let a neighbor hunt and he took a big female. I guess they were still wary. Usually a big group of deer pass thru my back yard every morning and afternoon going to creek on State land for water. Just have to be in the right spot as they have several different routes. I do have on my bucket list to hunt and kill a deer. Next time I try it will be with my dad's cross bow.

When I first moved to this property we had an incident with a poacher hunting on my neighbors land. He took an 8 point buck and was trying to get it off the edge of my property when my ex-wife arrived home from work. He hid from her hoping to come back in dark to get deer. Our dog pointed out the deer to my ex and we called the conservation warden to report the poacher and get the deer. Made a small picture collage of the deer before the warden took it away. It was a monster.

Grew up in Florida. Never been hunting. Would like to but just haven't been.

Can't believe I just now found this after all these years. I don't get to hunt nearly as much as I used to. At 62 years old with some health problems, I only get out occasionally. Just getting out and enjoying nature is a good time for me. Last deer I got was and older 6 pointer about 4 years ago. My main hobby now is buying old used 22's that have been neglected, and bring them back to life. Amazing how accurate some 22's from the 20's, 30's, and 40's are. Plinking is very relaxing!

I love getting in the woods, the hunting is actually secondary for me. It is so relaxing to just sit there and clean my head of all the daily bullshit associated with normal life. It's the same thing as firing up a smoker and loading on some meat and just sitting there for hours.

The only reason I don't go hunting is because of the ticks. I take Levothyroxin and the ticks love it!
I tell my wife I'm a tick magnet. I said God must have misunderstood when I was a teenager and asked to be a chick magnet! Every time I go in the woods, I come home with a few on me.

My kid is too! I literally never get them but that little pasty ****er always has them. Funniest day of my life is when he called and told me he had one on the head of his dick !! 🀣 🀣 🀣 🀣

I couldn't stop laughing!

Damn...I never had one there. Actually surprising to be honest with how many times nature call when you're out hunting all day!

I had one on my nuts once, itched like a son-of-a-gun. Hated to go out someplace because the urge to scratch was extreme!
