TE, OL, LB...

Chris Foester is a bad oline coach. He was bad for us in 05 and has sucked everywhere else he's been. Not impressed with Burke so far either. Same ole base d and no creativity. This is what you get with first time HCs. Much like Philbin.

And all these weapons we heard about all offseason. What happened to them. How about finding ways to get these guys the ball. How about designing a few plays to get Grant involved. If Grant was a Patriot he'd get 5-10 touches a game. Was Charles Harris active today?

The average fan knew that counting on Misi to start, or even be a back-up was WRONG. The average fan said this all summer long....yet the Fins go into the season with this guy on the roster....he should have been cut in April. So you count on Misi (he is no where to be found - injured), you bring in Timmons (AWOL), you draft The Chef (he gets hurt) and now you have Mike Hull taking major snaps with the bullets flying.

Horrible front office planning.

Our OL went back to its finesse days under Philbin. It was a major problem.

Obviously doesn't help that our QB looked like **** even when he had time to throw.

And Zach Brown was a bargain signing for the Redskins.

I wanted misi gone years ago

How did our OL hold up better against better pass rushers last week? I hope this was an off game. The defense won't get better. But the offense needs to improve

Of the 3 positions you mentioned LB is #1 priority. McMillian will be back next year but he will a rookie and unknown at the NFL level. Draft 2 young LBs and sign a decent FA vet next year to mentor them. Keep Kiko. Our defense is getting shredded by journeyman QBs with no-name WRs/TEs. Our Dline can't bring pressure fast enough if the back 7 can't maintain coverage for a few seconds.

So this offseason we'll need QB, TE, LB, DT, CB, FS, OG and maybe center.....so, not much.

I'm not holding my breath. I care less and less every year. Last year was refreshing, and I finally decided to put trust in the organization. Lol silly me. I'm back to not caring much. The Dolphins will always be the Dolphins until proven otherwise.
Same boat.

It's pointless to root for the team now is how I feel. Every win just ruins our draft position more and more. This sorry ass excuse for a team and coaching staff has no shot at repeating last year's success.

People keep pointing at 1-4 but disregard how vanilla that schedule was compared to the mammoth we are facing this season. This team simply isn't good enough.

I had a feeling the 2016 Dolphins would be remembered in similar fashion to the 2008 Dolphins. Made a playoff run by beating on bad teams, tougher schedule with higher expectations the following season and slapped right back into the reality that this is a **** franchise that will never take the next step.

Don't forget DC and probably an OC as well unless Gase wants to handicap this team even more going forward. Burke is awful, and Gase is terrible at calling the plays.

Not sure how we are coming to this consensus on Burke already.

The defense we fielded yesterday was arguably worse than last years when u factor in missing IAQ, Lippett and Phillips while only adding Hayes as the only real impact player.

Through 2 games the run defense looks much improved

Burke is given the pieces he is dealt. He can't run for this slow ass secondary . . .and lets keep it real, the current LB group is probably the worst in the NFL from a personnel perspective.

At one point the TOP difference was like 30 to 12. No defense is going to survive that. The offense did them no favors.

Look I am not a Burke fanboy, but I can hardly scapegoat him this early knowing the track record of this defense over the past few years but I can applaud what is seemingly a better run defense.

Timmons, McMillan, Mcdonald, Lippett and Phillips all out really make a difference. U talking 5 starters as Lippett would of replaced Maxwell.

He needs to get Tankersley and Mctyer in there just to elevate the speed back there.

We're somewhere middle-of-the-road on O Line right now. We've had better...we've had MUCH worse. TE is something that can be addressed with a single draft pick...we just have to pull the trigger and stop signing retreads or expecting UDFA's to perform like starers. As for LB, that's the part that puzzles me. I think back at players like Nick Buoniconti, A J Duhe, John Offerdahl, Zach Thomas...we've had some seriously talented LBers, particularly inside, in our past. Yet, since Zach retired we can't seem to find a single decent one.
