Timmons

Besides Hayes, basically being given to us for nothing, Timmons has been a total stud. Isn't he 4th on PFF overall at Lber. I know it's not what we all go by but still impressive. I couldn't understand how people could say Timmons fell off when his last two games with the Steelers he had 28 tackles and 2 sacks lol We got an absolute steal!! PHINS UP!!

Because people think once you turn 30 you're dead in 10 days. People have no idea how long you can keep your body in good shape if you just take care of it, they're just used to letting nature take its course and accepting that's just how it is. Especially pros who have a desire to continue playing, look at wake, guy takes great care of his body and his play never drops off year after year. Its not a surprise how some athletes play well late into their 30's, its just a matter of taking care of yourself and if you do you will feel a lot younger than you thought you could at whatever age you're at.

Lifer, with all of the new products coming to market and all of the things we now know, players who follow a strict regimen can play into their late 30's and beyond. The best examples are Tom Brady and Wake, both playing at Pro Bowl levels. Those guys are still improving!!! That's scary!

Exactly right and you can tell he's not the type of dude that ever stops continuing to stay in tremendous shape. He is just a naturally gifted athlete who happened to understand it takes more than god given talent to make it the big leagues. Now here he is. He's had one hell of a career to say the least. Very proud of this team brother. We all should be. PHINS UP!!

Him and Tank are the biggest reason for the defensive turnaround.

Yes, but...Don't forget Jones returning. He is a really good player...splash playmaker, reliable tackler and glue guy (leader who gets everyone in the right position and makes people around him better) rolled into one. We missed him last year after he went out.

Also. Hayes has been a real force against the run. Hope they extend him...

Bet Timmons is probably happy to be with this team right now. Defense looking like a good unit, 4-2, playoff hunt, offense pulling their weight more, Timmons himself is playing well, and apparently part of a good locker room vibe.

This Thursday is a HUGE test for Timmons (and Kiko.)

We are playing a team that likes to throw the ball to its TEs and RBs. Our D can control that game if we can contain that.

If not...its gonna be a long night.

Anyone here happen to have some stats for Timmons against his old division rival? I'm curious how he has played against them historically.

Everyone's covered how awesome Timmons has been for us already, but there's also another nice perk. He's played the ravens 2x a year his whole career maybe he will break our Raven curse.

Not a good game for Kiko. 7 of those points as in the entire drive was on him.

Timmons misplayed a screen that busted big and Miami better given how aggressive and upfield a front we are prepare for teams to throw a bunch of different screen looks at us to offset.

Rey’s range is showing up more the more he plays in not a good way. I need the mike to be able to handle off tackle to off tackle and he’s cut by 2nd level lineman due to range more than he’s giving me. But he sure plugs things up and brings hard contact

It’s still a no brainer though starter over mike hull

Other than 17, the biggest disappointment of the season was McMillian going down. I really wanted him to be the Mike you describe. Hopefully next year...

Definitely a force we have been missing. Linebacker was a weakness and DT a question mark at the start of the season, man we have come a long way scince then.
Amen to that.

I think this is a really good point. We write players off to quickly once they hit 30. I'm approaching my 30s and still feel great. Can't move like im 20 but still got juice. I think it's part mental and part just caring about your body.

How is it everytime I have hit FH this week there is some wanker (hypothetical) who claims to be a dolphins fan that is talking smack about our beloved Zach "Attack" Thomas?!?!?

I won't even get into the rant this time, but these people (hypothetical again) should be ashamed of themselves....

Neither of those guys are "improving"....

They are established vets who have mastered their craft but have slowly diminishing physical tools...

Longevity - Yes...

Improving.....No
