Dolphins vs. Patriots (-17)

Make it positive.... I do 10 situps for every point the other team scores. Each fumble (no matter who recovers) or interception by us is 25 situps. Needless to say, im in excellent shape right now because of our crappy team. After this week's game, I could be in good enough shape to suit up for the Dolphins the following Sunday.

Maybe Hoyer is a good fantasy option this week. He could easily have a couple of TDs in relief of a blowout on the vaunted Matt Burke defense. You know Belicheat is going to run up the score because he's a jerk.

Now Gase is saying Cutler could play this weekend if cleared. God i hate this coaching staff. Arrogant Gase and his bromance with Cutler.

We should just play a nickel set whole game and rotate linebackers fresh. Pats don't run period. Never understood why teams don't do that.

The last four weeks NE hasn't allowed more than 235 yards passing in a game. Their defense has improved immensely since the early stages of the season.

Cutler - 35/37 450 yards and 6TD's...then I woke up:happy

That will be Tom Brady's numbers in the first half. Gronkowski will probably have 175 yard receiving and 3 TDs in the first half. Billy Goat Matt Burke won't know how to try to defend him.

You would think that the Dolphin players would feel disrespected by that point line but it won't matter they will lay down anyway.

A good coach would do the research I did in the original post and post it as bulletin board material.

I'm picturing a curb stomping like the infamous Randy Moss game... They will destroy us. Without mercy.

HAHA Cameron Worrell on Moss, HAHAHA! Ronnie Brown goes out for the year making tackle on an INT and Matt Cassel threw a pick 6 to JT to make the score 49-28 and Billy B. puts Brady back in. What a game.

New England hasn’t trailed in months. Miami barely leads. Lol these are two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum on and off the field

In it's simplest form this game is between a team that capitalizes on it's opponents every mistake vs a team that makes a ton of mistakes. It will take the a perfectly clean game to even keep it competitive and still lose just not in embarrassing fashion. This means no penalties, no turnovers, no drops, no poor throws, no blown assignments etc. This isn't happening. My guess:

NE 57
Mia 17

We'll see Kiko chasing Gronk, White, Burkhead and Bennett in pass coverage all day long. One cut and he's beat. Yet we will NEVER see the Pats and their un athletic LB's chasing our guys. We should be able to pass on them but like every other team will not be able to.

No doubt this one isn't going to be close. Would be a shock if the Patriots don't score over 50. Gase will start off his first 2 seasons 0-4 vs the Patriots. Worse than both Sparano and Philbin.

Looks like the Pats will be just the fifth of 15 teams to cover a -17 or greater point spread since 2004.

Again think about how poorly this indicates the Dolphins are playing.

0.4% of teams have been underdogs by 17 or more since 2004.

Five underdogs of the 15 of that nature -- in the 3,328 games that were played during that period -- failed to cover.

The Dolphins just did today what happens only 0.15% of the time in the NFL.

You have to play two thousand games in the league to see what happened today happen three times.

When you combine the above with the fact that the team was shut out at 25 times the expected rate through seven games, I think you have to start wondering if there isn't a serious problem with Gase.

When the same team experiences extremely rare, negative events in a short span of time, something very rotten has to be responsible for that, and chances are that's functioning at the very core of the team.
