How much time are you willing to give Adam Gase as HC?

How many more years should Gase get to turn things around?

I don't know really. He's had a lot on his plate this season and hasn't really caught a break since. It would be nice to see him get a rookie QB and whisper the **** out of him to an Aaron Rodgers type status. I think he deserves that at least.

However, when your starting QB goes down and your first thought as a replacement is Jay Cutler. . it's mind boggling. He didn't do for Jay Cutler what his entire platform is built on, making QB's better. Cutler is terrible and has been for his entire career. I understand that he was in Denver with Peyton, yeah Peyton didn't need him nor did he realistically learn anything from Gase. If anything Peyton told Gase how QB works and I guess no notes were taken.

Yeah I'm a little bit torn. I don't know if Gase is the guy, but he was coach at the time of playoffs and that's good enough for me to hang in for 1 more season.

He definitely gets too much credit for Manning in Denver. Manning was already one of the greatest QBs before his time in Denver.

Hopefully 2 more years to get Miami on the feared level but if this current chip show that is the Miami Dolphins actually looks worse next year, then he should be replaced.

Regardless, Tannenbaum HAS to be deposed.

3 more years min. He more than earned that for what he did with a crap roster last year. This year chicken **** tastes like chicken **** and even worse, we have the worst starting qb in the nfl.

Our players are not good enough, I predicted a losing record before the season started.

Would sack the front office (from tannenbaum to the lowest scouting intern) right now though

Tired of the coaching carousel......he should get another 2 -3 years (5 total) to build the team in his way. Changing coaches every 2 or 3 years hasn't gotten us anywhere.
Nice post bro. I agree but along the way if there are changes to players and staff that they be made when merited rather than holding on too long.

I said two more years as losing your starting QB, your starting rookie LB so early in the season would be very hard for a lot of coaches to over come. It did expose our depth issues on this team that need to be addressed.

I've been surprised to see the strong turn against Gase so quickly. Even Sparano and Philbin seemed to get more leeway. Only Sparano had comparable success to Gase in his first year by delivering a playoff appearance. It's especially odd considering the fact he had to go an entire season without his starting QB. I thought that would be a built-in excuse and reason enough for a mulligan in Year 2.

I'd like to get a sense of the fanbase's feelings toward Gase. See the poll above.

You're surprised? Heck, there probably were people here that wanted to fire him last season because we didn't go deeper into the playoffs.

gase is a guy that, with a second chance down the road, could pan out somewhere else. but right here, right now, he's in over his head and will not be coaching the dolphins in 2019.

The only thing I have to add to all that has been said is why is everyone so impressed with year 1? The Dolphins beat 1 team with a winning record the entire year and they subsequently destroyed them in the wildcard round. Gase's record against winning teams is awful, and the games they do win are always heart attack games. He isn't the answer at coach, or offensive coordinator.

He gets to coach into next year, and if the same sloppy penalties, bad play calling, poor tackling, slow starts, and general ineptitude persists, then he gets replaced mid season and they coach out 2018 with an interim coach while Ross and T-Bum go on yet another coaching search.

Miami wasn’t really good last year. They had a negative scoring differential and were spanked vs every good team they played. Defense was awful, they just had timely takeaways last season.
