04/11 Mandal's NFL Mock
1. St Louis- Quarterback Sam Bradford
-After releasing Marc Bulger, this team is void of a starting QB.
2. Detroit- DT Ndamukong Suh
- Lions have holes everywhere and go with the best player in the draft.
3. Tampa Bay- DT Gerald Mccoy
- Bucs need a lot of offensive firepower to help Josh Freeman but cant pass up on the second coming of Warren Sapp.
4. Washington Redskins- OT Russel Okung
- After getting their QB, Redskins start fixing their abysmal OL.
5. Kansas City-OT Trent Williams
-Scott Pioli knows what its like to have an established Oline to protect his QB from his New England days. Chiefs OL was terrible last year. Brandon Albert gave up 9 sacks last year for the Chiefs, 2nd in the NFL.
6. Seattle- RB CJ Spiller
-2 picks in the 1st. Seattle also needs Olinemen but realize Spiller wont be available for their second 1st round pick. NFCs version of Chris Johnson.
7. Cleveland - FS Eric Berry
-After acquiring CB Sheldon Brown and LB Chris Gocong, Holmgren continues to establish a defense with the best defensive playmaker in the draft.
8. Oakland - LT Bryan Bulaga
-Seriously couldn't make up my mind here (its the Raiders) but based on their roster, they desperately need a Left Tackle. Mario Henderson gave up a league-worst 9 and half sacks last year for the Raiders.
9. Buffalo Bills- LT Anthony Davis
-Bills surprisingly have a solid secondary. They do however have a huge need at LT, after electing not to draft one last year after trading Jason Peters away.
10. Jacksonville- QB Jimmy Clausen
-This pick comes directly from the owner. This team probably has the worst fan base in the NFL (no offense to Jag fans, its a smaller market) and desperately needs a spark, something to get the city of Jacksonville excited and buying tickets or else it'll be the "Los Angeles Jaguars" sooner rather than later.
11. Denver- LB Rolando McClain
- After the surprise release of starting ILB Andra Davis, this team has a hole to fill at ILB in their 3-4 scheme. This pick hinges on Brandon Marshall and where he ends up.
12. Miami- WR Dez Bryant
- Top 10 talent that falls do to rumored character issues. Easily fills a huge void as a legitimate #1 target for the Dolphins and has the ability to get those "chunk yards" the Fins have been lacking. Andre Johnson or Charles Rogers? We'll see.
13. San Francisco- CB Joe Haden
- Haden was once regarded as top 5 talent but his stock has fallen since his "slow" 40 time at the combine. 49ers are overjoyed to see him fall into their lap.
14. Seattle- OG/OT Mike Iupati
After trading starting left guard, Seattle has a void to fill. They get a dominant run-blocking guard who is versatile enough to possibly play tackle if need be.
15. Ny Giants- MLB Sean Weatherspoon
This draft does not have a lot of elite talent at the MLB position. Too bad for the Giants, they could really use some help at linebacker. They reach slightly for Weatherspoon who has the potential to be a playmaker but may not be a "thumper" in the middile.
16. Tennessee- DE Derrick Morgan
After losing Kyle Vanden Bosch, the Titans lack an edge pass rusher. Morgan, a true 4-3 DE is an elite talent but falls because he doesn't have elite speed off the edge.
17. San Francisco- SS Taylor Mays
The 49ers would like to go Oline here. However, they are not going to reach for one. Mike Singletary gets his guy in Taylor Mays to be that intimidating Strong Safety.
18. Pittsburgh- C Maurkice Pouncey
This team has dealt with some offseason troubles which could change the outcome of this pick but it looks like R'berger and Holmes are safe..for now. With that said, the Oline continues to be the weakest link to this teams success. Despite the recent extension of center, Justin Hartwig, this team looks to upgrade as Pouncey is vastly underrated in this draft.
19. Atlanta- DE Brandon Graham
The Falcons have tons of firepower on offense but lack pass rushers. John Abraham has been the playmaker on defense but his play declined. They could go with the high risk/high reward guy in Pierre-Paul, but after the busted pick in Jamaal Anderson, they decide to go with the safer Graham.
20. Houston- FS Earl Thomas
Texans dont think twice about this one. Thomas has the ability to play man to man corner and will be their free safety to defend against the deep ball versus Peyton and the rest of the AFC South.
21. Cincinnati- RB Jahvid Best
The Bengals definitely surprised many last year with their stout defense. This year, they look to improve their offense by adding a true playmaker in the backfield which is something they clearly lack.
22. New England- DE Jared Odrick
The Patriots are supposedly infatuated by Odrick. He has a very similar playing style to Richard Seymour, the guy the Pats traded away for a 1st round pick in '11 to the Raiders. They use their 2nd round picks on the deep talent pool at OLB.
23. Green Bay- OLB Sergio Kindle
After the experiment ended in a failure for Aaron Kampman and the Packers at OLB, they lack an edge rusher opposite Clay Mathews.
24. Philadelphia- CB Kyle Wilson
After getting rid of Dawkins, the Eagles look to get a playmaker on the back end of their defense.
25. Baltimore- TE Jermaine Gresham
Ravens continue to bolster their offense by drafting the #1 TE in the draft.
26. Arizona- OLB Jason Pierre-Paul
Finally after a free fall the Cardinals take their chance on the huge boom or bust player. The Cardinals suddenly have holes everywhere after an off season from hell. They decide to go BPA.
27. Dallas- WR Demaryius Thomas
After releasing Safety Ken Hamlin and Left Tackle, the Cowboys hope to find a replacement for either position early in the draft. Unfortunately, all the top safety and tackle talent is taken so they look for their replacement at WR opposite Miles Austin, knowing Roy Williams will be gone after this year.
28. San Diego- NT Dan Williams
After releasing NT Jamal Williams, the Chargers know they must fill the void he left early because of the importance of the position.
29. Ny Jets- WR Golden Tate
The Jets defense was excellent last year and they continue to look for offensive weapons to surround Mark Sanchez. Tate has the potential to be an outstanding slot receiver for them with two big receivers on the outside.
30. Minnesota- CB Patrick Robinson
Vikings are well talented all around and look to fill depth at the cornerback position. Their starters last year both had injuries so if nothing else, they get a solid nickel corner for the time being.
31. Charles Brown- LT Charles Brown
Colts need a quality starting left tackle after Tony Ugoh flopped and last years LT Charlie Johnson is better suited as a guard.
32. New Orleans- LB Sean Lee
The next in line at "Linebacker U", Saints look to fill the void left after losing Scott Fujita.

Not bad. I love Sean Lee but dont see him in the 1st round.

Interesting to see who the Jets will target with the 28th pick considering they just got Holmes.

I'd go with a pass rusher, so Jerry Hughes or Everson Griffen maybe.

Holmes or not I always saw them selecting Cody.
