Akins injury update is not good

HOUSTON  Safety Chris Akins suffered what a team spokesman described as a "significant right knee injury" in the scrimmage with the Houston Texans on Saturday.

Akins was signed from the Patriots as a special-teams ace and if he is lost for the season, it will be yet another hit to Keith Armstrong's unit.

I was really looking forward to seeing the upgrade in our coverage units that he would have provided. The only way to look at it now, is it may provide a chance for a rookie safety like Quintin Williams to prove he belongs.
It sucks for Akins though and can only wish him the best for a full recovery and getting back as soon as he is able.
