What is your analysis of Steve Fifita? Is he the best, or one of the best UDFA we signed?

I'll let the experts answer but my two cents suggests Fifita could well be a real steal. Riggs was the highest rated UDFA we signed according to most draft books for whatever that's worth.

Fifita is marked down only because he is short, 5'-11". He led Utah in sacks from the NT spot which is unheard of! I look forward to seeing him in camp. The comparison that jumps to mind is Zack Thomas, someone whose measurables are wrong but is a real player. Hopefully we will be just as lucky!

I am hoping he pans out. If there is one position on the dl were he could get away with his height it would be at NT. He sounds like a human tree stump, which is exactly what is needed. OL men will be able to see over him however to see where linebackers are moving, but that will be a mute point if they can not move him. We shall see how strong he is.

I'm pretty sure both Boomer and I have addressed Fifita before in this forum. Here's a quick tip. I'm not tryin to be mean or anything just tryin to save time. If you go to the "Search This Forum" drop box at the top right of the forum and then go to Advanced Search, you can fill in the name of the poster whose posts you want to search for, and use search criteria like "Steven Fifita"

A quick search for my posts on Fifita turns up three threads...

Boomer and I cover a lot of ground on this forum. Usually when you want to know our feelings about a player, chances are we've already laid something out about him. Searching through would be a quicker method to answer your question I think than posting a thread and waiting for us to notice it.

Human tree stump is right. With his height and weight, along with a 460 bench, and nearly 700 squat, good luck trying to get any leverage on this guy.

Where can we find some stats on Fifita? I searched those links and found nothing on Fifita.

I dunno, the stuff I use is pay stuff. When I'm looking for stats that I cant find on the pay sites I just go to the school's athletic dept homepage and look for them. Do a little homework, it ain't gonna hurt ya. ;)
