Why not bring this guy in. Effective run stopper. Could be good behind Suh and to get Sheppard out of there. He had some off the field issues, but now that Philbin is gone maybe we dont have to have choir boys. Give him a chance. Would be an upgrade in the run D.

Before anyone comes in here on their high horse....I don't give a **** anymore. I just want to go to the playoffs and win. If we sign a wife beater or a hit and runner....SO BE IT.

idk. hes phycical too. lays the hammer. could use that now that Dan Campbell wants the team to grow a pair.

How is he not on a team?

Possibly facing a suspension? :idk:

WRENTHAM, Mass. -- Former Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes has pleaded guilty in a hit-and-run crash that injured three people, and he will serve a year of probation.

Spikes appeared Wednesday in Wrentham District Court, where he admitted negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of personal injury, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding and a marked-lanes violation.

State police found a damaged Mercedes-Benz Maybach belonging to Spikes abandoned in the median of Interstate 495 in Foxborough on June 7. At about the same time, police responded to a report that a Nissan Murano SUV had been struck from behind by a vehicle that left the scene. Three people were treated for minor injuries.

Will be interesting to see how much of the choir boy preferences the personnel people retain now that Philbin is gone.

Ross and Tannenbaum are both "people" people, meaning they significantly value the quality of individuals you surround yourself with, which is partly why Joe's preferences with regards to player character were palatable to them. Wonder if that continues to be a driving force in the selection of players.

Why doesn't anyone realize that he was having an absolutely putrid season before decking his girl. They were thinking about benching him in favor of Taliafero iirc. What makes you think he's gotten better since not playing.

I'd give Spikes a shot. He'd be on thin ice though, already was in some bad hit-and-run earlier this year and tried to deny it. Definitely not a character guy, but hey, this teams LB corps could use him greatly.

I believe he was suspended for the first 4 games of the season, so would now be available.

He has some legal issues, his car was found abandoned on the side of rt 495 near the foxboro stadium, come to find out it was involved in a hit and run...he turned himself in and confessed so the Pats cut him shortly after resigning him.....if we pick him up he will have a least a 4 game suspension waiting for him....but right now he would be the best LB on our team.
