With Young players like Williams/Cambers/McMichael/W. Smith/V. Carey on offence who are still before thier prime and Boston/Feeley who are also young but are more question marks, i see the potential of our offense to be the strength of this team for years to come. Throw in some role players such as Konrad/J. James who still have 5+ years ahead of them and its obvious that our offense if relatively young.
With the defense getting older, we can't expect 5 more years being top ten Ds every year. Keeping our young offensive players will take cap space, so we can't keep pouring all our money into the D. Finding a way to get compensated for Oguns rights without signing him to a deal that he hasn't earned, either this or next year would alow us to sign upcoming Offensive free agents, such as chambers and mcmichael when they are up for UFA next year.
