I have a feeling that Garrard might be resigned at some point after Moore is traded. I think it is a tactical move to get as much as possible for Moore.
I agree with this move. No need to pay a 2.5M roster bonus for a guy that will never touch the field.
Some team will want Matt Moore, and we can get a decent pick for him.
