Listen, when I see that we are considering bringing in Chad Henne, I have an understandable human need to overreact a little bit.

Agreed, if we can't win with Matt, we surely aren't gonna win with Chad so why not draft a developmental guy and if worse comes to worse, get him some invaluable game time snaps.

Playing devil's advocate. Would you think Miami can win a few games with Henne or a developmental guy from the draft. If Miami has the vision as Tannehill as their clear starter and want someone to fill in for him for short term ... which is what a backup is supposed to do ... then Henne would be a better option. Now if Miami wants a backup QB that they want to succeed Tannehill long term the draft is the way to go. If Miami signs Henne or any vet backup then that tells us what Gase's vision is for the QB position.

Can confirm that Chad Henne is indeed in the mix for Dolphins, as potential veteran backup. Former Dolphins backup has thrown just 2 passes as Jaguars backup last 3 yrs. Not many appealing veteran options left.
