This from CBS.SPortsline.com:

"A.J. Feeley has had a disappointing training camp. According to published reports, he is well behind starter Jay Fielder for the team's starting quarterback job."

"Offseason acquisition A.J. Feeley has had a disappointing training camp, so look for Fiedler to emerge as the starter unless he implodes during the preseason games."

Is this offseason about to get worse? As if everything that has happened so far wasn't bad enough, it's starting to look like we will have to sit through Feidler's "heroics" for yet another season. :shakeno: :fire:

they must not know what they are talking about the guys who post on here have said nothing but good things about the guy

Disappointing training camp? We haven't even played the first preseason game yet. Get your info from Schad over at the Palm Beach paper, he seems like a reliable source as to what is really happening on the field. He has said some good things about AJ.

I have seen these comments and they are from after the mini camps when Feeley was adjusting to/from the word/number offensive systems. They aren't updated.

Please no more Fiedler! I'm so bored of that guy. If we had any other coach, it would be an interesting season in that we would see a lot of radical formations, schemes and new players-playing but you know Wannstedt is fighting hard for his job and he will not be experimenting with AJ, Sage, Tolver, Bau, etc... :fire:

You can't rely on CBS sports on such an in depth topic. They have not been at camp to actually see what is happening, they just go on what they hear. It's like asking a vegetarian for a price on a T-bone.

ESPN finished a couple stories on Miami, too

"1. You start the assessment of any team in training camp with its status at quarterback but, even after observing three practices over the weekend, it is difficult to evaluate if the Dolphins are any better at the position than a year ago. Part of the problem is that three-year veteran A.J. Feeley, acquired from Philadelphia in March for a second-round pick in the 2005 draft, has always been known as a terrible practice player. And he did nothing here in two days to dispel that reputation. Philadelphia's coaches always believed that Feeley, who was 4-1 as a starter in '02 when both Donovan McNabb and Koy Detmer were out with injuries, was a "gamer," a guy who always played better when the TV cameras came on. They also believed that Feeley was a player who needed extra attention. But so far, it appears that, no matter how much attention Feeley is garnering from Miami's offensive staff, he still is struggling."

Yes, another year of Jay!!!

And on a serious note: Feeley better step up soon, there's no way that Jay can start every game with the kind of pass rush he will be facing without Ricky.
