Hey there Dolfans, I know you all are saying, this guy and his stats again… ;-)

I put together quick little stat sheets on some current QB’s and their propensity for completing the mid-range to long-range passes, a percentage (%) of Total Completions. This stat might not mean a thing, but it might give some insight…

1- As to what plays the QB’s are somewhat comfortable executing…
2- Talent and skills of Qbs and receivers…
3- What the check-off priority is, when throwing downfield…
4- That there might be good communication and timing between the “Hot†receivers and QBs…
5- The offensive game plan to attack the middle of the field…

I am sure that there are other reasons; these are just a few, so let’s go on...

Name +20 yds +40 yds
T Brady 12% 2%
A Brooks 16% 4%
M Brunell 13% 3%
M Bulger 18% 2%
K Collins 15% 2%
T Couch 13% 3%
T Dilfer 14% 3%
J Delhomme 16% 4%
K Detmer 16% 4%
B Favre 14% 2%

J Plummer 14% 3%
P Ramsey 18% 3%
V Testaverde 17% 2%

So that’s it, make your own opinions.
Are we as doomed as some say we are, with our 2 QBs or should we look at getting other vets?

I think I maybe a stat junkie just like you. I know it's your thing but do you mind if I take a stab at a killing time segement???

Go for it. This is a board for info and opinions... :)

According to these statistics, Damon Huard is the WORST QB in the NFL today. Hey, maybe youre on to something here?! :goof:
