The kid played QB / P / K at Colton HS in So Cal. He has a great leg and accuracy. If we land this guy he could be huge upgrade to our special teams as a kicker. Not sure what happened to him in school, but he was a leader on the field and had some big kicks when he was in school.

How many Popes do we need? :tongue:

Don't we owe Mare guaranteed money over this year and next? If so, I would doubt that anybody beats him out unless he just outright sucks.

This Pope can Punt as well. Had well over a 40 yard average and is quite the athlete. He had schoolarships offered to him for kicking, punting, and some smaller schools wanted him as a QB. He is really good. Hated coaching against him.
 
If he wants to make this team, it will be as a punter. Mare set an NFL record for touchbacks last year. And while he has struggled some, he's still plenty good and makes big money.
 
One of the other threads said we were trading for Jesus. With Jesus and the Pope on the team, how could we loose?
