This is great news. I know he gets injured but he is a force at LT when he is healthy. For however many games that is, we have one of the best anchors in the league at LT.

I am willing to bet he plays the least games of his career next year...and retires next off-season when his contract will be easier to June 1st retire him...I'm betting he took one for the team, being a great teammate.

Manage his health for the big games, he's the 18th highest paid tackle in the league, a lesser quality replacement would likely cost more. Yes I know availability etc etc, but his injury history was clearly a factor in his salary. I hope we get an OT round 1 or 2 that can play next to TA at guard next season and learn from him.
If I could wish upon a star, I would love to see him play a whole season and go out on top winning a SB )
I'm happy about it ...but it's bitter sweet since there's some availability drawbacks...however hopefully if he's calling it after this season wants to go out swinging for us and plays as much as possible since he will be riding off into the sunset soon.

Thats good, we need to get another year from him since we won't get much salary cap benefit from releasing him or if he had retired.
We just need to have a good backup OT since we know Armstead is going to probably miss about half the games.
It wouldnt surprise me if we draft an OT in round 1 who can play OG his rookie season then move to LT in 2025 after Armstead is retired or released.
